i can't help but wonder why g4 loves to troll nintendo fans so much, but to each his own i guess. you guys do realize that the 3ds is going to be the biggest thing in gaming this year, and that you look like idiots saying this stuff, right?

g4 stopped being relevant the day you stopped being tech tv. you guys are a flash in the pan, while nintendo is still going to be around well after your half assed excuse for a tv station finally fails. you do realize that you're pandering to a group of college students with no money, that can't support your company, right? anyhow, i tire of your stupidity, i'm off to not watch cops on g4, because that's all you can afford to produce, reruns of bad tv shows.

I am just happy that it is the first console of any kind that will cost the same here in Canada as it does in the US at launch. We canucks usually have to pay anywhere between $50-$200 more for consoles. It's only recently because the American and Canadian dollars have been so close in value that prices have dropped here.

Well if you want to play new and better DS games might as well get the 3DS. I was really hoping they would release it with the Black & Red color scheme though..

SO that one girl will buy it for her favorite 3 games being remade in 3d.They will have the same story and gameplay as before but it will be in 3d.Im sure it will make all those old boss fights that much more epic. Also with the games being 40$ a pop id dont think i would buy a game I could easily get on a old system for no where near the cost of the new ones. Its not worth it.Dont forget your going to be playing 300$ with tax because your going to have to buy a game for it.All that extra crap it comes with people already have via smartphones ipads etc etc.Sorry its not worth it.

to me the price of it seems way to high. It should down around $100 maybe $150. Really if i had a kid i wouldnt pay that, because its most likely going to be given to that kid and as we all know kids are very likely to drop things.

I have two Nitendo DS Lite that AREN'T BROKEN. I would get it for the bells and whistles it has but I hope it has some good games that can back it up.

Other than that I would buy it once I get the money and when it comes out.

I think I'd get it... I mean maybe not right away, but it does look promising.

Especially since Sonic will be released for the 3DS as well.

Well it really depends on the price of the games if they are 60 bucks then no but if they are 40 and under then i will think about it.

I'll buy a beat up one that a spoiled twelve year old got sick of off of craigslist in 6 months for $100 bucks with a few games thrown in. Then I even have the satisfaction of beating all is high scores.

Compared to what consoles can do today i don't mind spending $399 on a console. I mean they can play dvds-blu-ray depending on the console, allows you to play with people across the world in many games, they are user friendly, many games are more challenging and have better stories then most movies have. I mean it's worth it. Consoles today can last 5-6 years (except for the fact they make a remodel every year) but compared to in the 70's it looked like a new consoles was coming out every year from a different or the same company.

I have a DS and really only got it for New Super Mario bros (but, have a few other games). For $249, unless the 3-d is really epic and there is a title that I must have, RIGHT NOW, I won't be buying one now.

With the gaming value on current consoles in the $200-250 range(HD, 5.1 audio, etc), I don't see the value vs. cost. I don't really use my pocket systems too much unless I am traveling or away from home anyway.

I actually use my PSP more than my DS anyway. I think I am looking forward to the PSP2 more than the 3DS due to the graphics on the system (not almost childish looking graphics, like the DS)

I'll wait till I can get a used 3DS for about $100-150, thats about what value I feel I could justify for a portable gaming system that I don't use all the time.

What's with the annoying editing, and cheezy canned answers? Just because Candace Bailey is at G4 doesn't mean you guys get to pretend you're Nickelodeon with a frenetic camera straight out of tween television, lame poppish music, and "in your face" sound bites.

If the 3DS does end up being able to play movies then it will definitely be worth 250$ easily.

Does anyone know if it will still play GBA games? I sure hope so.
