OK, this one I'm really pissed about, but more at myself for letting DCOU draw me in. It will not happen again. The game is playable and very pretty, the combat however gets old rather quickly. What makes me angry is the amount of glitches and freezing this game has. On top of that, constant denial of service, not how I envisioned shelling out $15 a month on top of the retail price for my first and possibly last MMO. And the best is for last. I called Gamestop to ask what the trade-in value was for the PS3 version and I was told there wasn't one as it's being treated the same as a PC game. Meaning I and everyone else who doesn't like the game is stuck with it!!!! NEVER AGAIN!!

why are soo many complaining about paying monthly for somethin you paid a lot for to begin with. how many of you have an xbox? i dont, nor am i buying this game. though i did purchase a year of PS+ to try it out, but i can not resubscribe and still enjoy the fill benefits of my PS3. yes im a fanboy, but just saying, stop complaining about it and dont buy it, or do! if the Devs cared there wouldnt be a sub fee because enough ppl will pay it and it wont matter those who dont. or wait and see if there will be a price drop or a deal or something. OR just dont buy it like me :)

Ill just wait for it to go to free to play-micro transaction system. As all the other shoddy MMOs have gone.

I can't justify paying $60 for a game and paying monthly on top of that. It should be an either or situation. If they want us to pay monthly, then make the game a free download and do it that way. They are being too greedy.

Man, I missed this news. I was too busy leveling up my hero in DC Universe Online for the PS3. When it comes to the subscription price, I just had to prepare for it with all of the information and rumors about the game. I haven't bought a game in a few months and that's because I new DCUO was coming. At first, it was suppose to be released Nov. 2 of 2010, but got pushed back. I'm a patient man, plus I have been wanting this game every since they annoucement it at E3 2008 in the Historic Shrine Auditorium and two more months wouldn't kill me.

I knew that a console MMO would have a monthly fee or some type of package deal. So, by not buying some of the games that were heavy hitters for PS3 the past two months, I think I will knock the $200 lifetime subscription out and get it out the way. I am an ex-player of Phantasy Star Universe Online for the PS2 and when Sega stop supporting the servers for PS2 and PC to focus on XBOX 360 servers for the game, I couldn't wait until PS3 got an MMO. Didn't know it would come in the form of DC Universe Online though.

Don't get me wrong, $200 is $200, but what if I would have bought Black Ops, GT5, Assasin's Creed Brotherhood, and NBA 2k11 (just to name a few)? Those 4 games alone add up to more than $200 and that is before taxes. I know I personally can't get everything I want, when I want it, but sometimes, if you want something, you may have to sacrifice to get it. DC Universe Online is a game I did my research on and wanted for my PS3. And in my humble opinion, that is how I justify the price.

i wish you could also pay per hour. i will buy a game and play it a lot and then eventually stop playing, but i like to go back and play games for a few hours . I would pay the 15 a month but for the first couple months only and then pay by the hour when i stop playing as much.

I think it would be cool if they made a game like Fallout 3 or Mass Effect 2 where you play a single player campaign where you make your own character and can freely choose to act as a villain or hero throughout the course of the game, changing how people act and the landscape and game itself. I just think it'd be a cool game, I'd play it.

I have been playing DCU for about a month, via PS PLUS. I enjoy DCU's online Co Op value more than any other previous recent game (Uncharted 2, Red Dead, Call of Duty)

I am really sick of people talking about money... I pay for quality, and DCU is an amazing game. If they want people to play COD and pay, I gauruntee that wouldn't even cut the number of players in half. It's like saying Blueray isn't worth the extra money... ITS COMPLETELY WORTH THE MONEY!!

here is where the real flaw of this mmo or corpg whatever you want to call it the ps3 and pc versions are on different servers .

why is this important because in 2 months from now pc will be going strong and ps3 cheapskates like me will be all done and 6 people will be playing and they will cancel it.

pvp is way more interesting then pve you may disagree with me buy just you wait and see.

For the people complaining about the pricing: you pay the same for a normal game, especially when you factor in DLC. This is no different, except it's a game that is constantly updated with new content. If you get bored with it just cancel the account, but odds are good even if you just play that first month you'll get as much game play, if not more, than a normal game. If its not your bag then that's cool, but this overblown sense of injustice people seem to have towards MMO's is funny to me.

Love to play it, but can't justify the price. Not in this economy....

this actually looks like the first mmo i could play and probably like , it's just the price point is not appealing 59.99 for ps3 with 1 month subscrpition where pc 49.99 and ps3 get a year for 129.99 and pc get lifetime 199.99.

i would rather time / hours then a monthly and what is the playstation plus bonus for dc universe price , can't find it anywhere.

my bet odds are in 2 to 3 months the powers that be do a price restructure this pric structure is bobby koticks dream come true and needs to be squashed on consoles before it's mainstay. for all generes.
