I think it is great for sign language as everyone will be able to communicate in ASL - good tool for practice...

i can see how this would appeal to younger teenie boppers who sit on facebook all day talking about nothing, but not gamers (casual or hardcore). we are too busy actually playing games...
just another added feature to sell kinects.
money, money money.

Basically, a bunch of Kinect hater started spreading misinformation months ago.

They said the tech wouldn't work....and it works great

They said the games would be "no good"...but they scored higher than "Move" games

And they said it wouldn't sell...but it has exceeded all analysts predictions

Another reason for Microsoft to force you to pay 60 bucks a year for stuff you won't use. LOL! And no I'm not a PS3 fanboi, I only own a XBOX 360. So yeah, I'm just a disgruntled Microsoft customer. :D

Looks like a lame attempt to PlayStation Home, doesn't look to appealing with video chat and in game chat already available.

Being, like I am, a big Kinect fan I have to say:

LAME!!!!!!!!

Can't think of very few things lamer than avatar chatting with my friends/family. And even more when the avatars are so inexpressive like the XBOX ones...

People is doing magic with kinect and a PC all over the world and the XBOX avatars still can't even close their hands....

i dont see the need of this. If i can face chat with someone already, why would i want to Avatar chat? is just seem too much work to just chatting. Is looks kinda creepy too, i mean just watching that video made me feel weird. I give credit to MS for potential improvement. But do so while actually playing on Live and that will make sense.

that is so awesome you can make your own new cast as well as talk shows from what it looks like lol i would kind like to see them do a feedback episode over kinect
