Why was Liara in the opening scene of the PS3 version? Are Ashley and Liara's roles somehow switched on the PS3 version?
To all those saying it's the same engine, If its the same Engine why go on interviews talking about an engine newly created & used to run the Mass Effect 2 PS3 version like it has been mentioned in this interview.if that the case then this is an unfair comparision ..http://gamer.blorge.com/2010 /12/17/bioware-ps3-mass-effect -2-to-be-the-definitive-versio n/?dem_action=view&dem_pol l_id=23
I can't wait to get Mass Effect 3!
I'm pretty sure you guys post stuff like this just cuz you get a kick out of the idiot fanboyism
ME2 engine and ME3 engine look like more of a processing upgrade than graphic, As with most comparisons between 360 and PS3 it's such a small different if any at all it's down to what consol you want to buy it on. If ME3 has multiplayer i'll be buying for 360.
I am SOOO excited for this game. I was at the point of almost buying an Xbox for Mass Effect when the PC code was leaked for a PS3 version.I am very disappointed with the way they handled the beginning of the game. I would of liked them to of made a short of question air at the beginning of the game to determine some of the choices we missed out on in the first game. I played the first game on the PC(looked like crap for me), but right away I felt weird since choices I made were not the same.
the AA is better on the PS3 version, but i think the 360 shows more detail on people. overall, they did a good job making it look the same. what would be the point of making it look better anyway?
Who gives a fudgesicle which one is better looking, just play the damn game or don't. I hate these pointless comparisons. The only recent exception would be between the two versions of Black Ops,because the public needed to know how much more clean and smooth the 360 version was.
well.... there's my reason to buy a PS3 after ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL these years!!!!!!!! haha took you long enough sony
The 360 version has no sound! hurr hurr durrrr. But no, seriously. They're both look damn good for something running the Unreal Engine.
All I can see is darker blacks on the PS3 side. And the guy playing the 360 version is terrible at navigating for some reason. I'm more concerned about ME3 : Multiplatform = Multiplayer?
Personally i prefer the shadowing and lighting more on the 360 in really just about every game. But there is hardly any difference at all in between these. Both look amazing. Such a great game.
Face animations have a slight edge on the PS3 and lighting is a bit better too but other than that the xbox version is the same
I've played the two of them on the same tv and they look almost the same, the new engine looks better on some details but I think it has a frame rate problem, let's hope it was just cause is a demo.
This game is great no matter what you play it on
They look the same... I like the lighting for the 360 one though
fun fact2: PS3 has always been teh pwnz.
Fun Fact: The PC is still the superior version.Eat it.
I think Kotaku explains it best. http://kotaku.com/5716629/how- does-mass-effect-2-on-ps3-look
