The people that compressed these videos for the G4 site need to be taken out back and humanely disposed of. That is some horrendous interlacing
learn to use de-interlace or decomb, both are even available in freeware encoders (like Handbrake) so there's really no excuse.

No, Metroid: Other M wasn't as good as most people expected, but I still had fun, even on Hard Mode (no expansions). It gave me a challenge and was average in my mind. The Prime series was, by far, a whole lot better, but honestly, the controls weren't even that hard to figure out. 3.5/5 for me. I respect her opinion, but not when she gets upset because Samus isn't "independent." The developers created the game with Samus and Adam as close "friends" and Samus holding a high respect for Adam. She followed his orders because of this respect and friendship. It's not because she wasn't independent.

Excuse me Abbie, would you kindly LEAVE G4!!! Your are WAY too sensitive to be a reviewer. You give any game that shows a womens ass for 5 seconds or reminds you of another game a 2 out of 5. Your reviews are complete and total CRAP. I mean really, a 2/5 for other M? Just because it depicted samus as a human being doesn't mean that it sucks.

Abbie was the only reviewer I hear who bitched that much about Metroid. I played the game, it wasn't very good, but it wasn't as bad as she makes it seem.

Wow I know it had it's flaws ad that Abbie didn't personally care for it but to call Metroid Other M one of the worst games of the year seems a bit harsh. After playing it I thought the game was pretty descent. I think she was has a bit of a vendetta for it not being what she thought it should be.

Other M isn't a bad game. It's unfortunate it was judged by it's portrayal of a single woman, not by its level of fun.

@Wowzman23- All of Abbie's reviews have her own personla feelings involved rather then just from an objective standpoint. This is the the same person who gave Darksiders a 2/5 because there was too many things in that game that reminded her of Zelda who she is a die hard fan of. So regardless of if the game is really that bad or not, if it dissapoints her because of any reason it will be reviewed rather harsh.

So basically a strong independent women is one that keeps her mouth shut all the time. Because the only other metroid that samus has a "voice" is metroid fusion.

Man Nintendo really bomb this year didn't they first Metroid Epic failed then Epic Mickey. Hopefully next year will be better for them.
