A great job Feedback team. Thanks for all the hard work, laughter, etc throughout the year. See you all next year.

Well, my parents had just gotten divorced (no worries, It has been years since, so I am okay :]) so my dad was new at buying gifts. Lets just say he didn't know much about my gaming tastes and holiday year one resulted in Jimmy Newtron and year two, well, Beyblade... yeah... and he still to this day thinks I loved them haha (even though they've only been played by my little brother). It's the thought that counts! :]

I asked for Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of time and My parents got me a Link to the past. I didn't even have a NES or Super Nintendo or whatever it was for

Thank you Feedback team. It would have been all too easy not to do this weeks show and use Christmas as an excuse. Now I have something awesome to watch!

Feedback during a heavy rain storm is like a fuzzy teddy bear hug to the soul. Even if it got a little glib in the middle haha.

I think a potential "catharsis" could come to the video game industry. Right now, there's a good number of indie/downloadable, great titles, and is counterpointed by the AAA games, which can turn out a good game with huge investment and effort. But they aren't reconciling with one another well.
Indie/small downloadable games are often weird or off beat, and playful with the kind of gameplay or content, whereas most of the AAA titles are tried and true genres which we are all familiar with, that are presented with polish and acumen (much of the time). The playfulness we want, the novelty that comes with many indie games isn't present in the AAA space, and the depth and polish of AAA games isn't present in the indie game space, and we want those things to reconcile, because we know we need both though I'm not sure people know how to do this just yet. And until this happens, I think we're going to yearn for the polished indie game, the novely of the one, coupled with the professionalism of the other. This is where I think a genuine catharsis could occur, decreasing budgets and costs to gamers, balancing our needs with our wants in a natural way. But until some kind of reconciliation happens, I think we're all going to continue to yearn, with good titles out of either approach never fully satisfying our needs. Nothing is worse than an itch you can never scratch, right? Oh wait, he was talking about sex.

For many years since I was a small child, I would always do my best to help clueless parents at Target and GameStop. No kid wants Crash Team Racing for Christmas, he clearly wanted Crash Bandicoot 3. You're Welcome.

Damn!! No Feedback next week!!!
Well I guess I have to live it with it even though I don't want to. Happy Holidays to all G4 staff and for all the great Feedbacks, different panels and everyone that participated and joined in talking on Feedback to make it an amazing year for the show.

Totally agree.

Great show guys, I look forward to more!
When it comes to receiving the wrong game... I remember wanting Metal Gear Solid, but ended up with Metal Gear VR Missions, a good game that I enjoyed, but still not what I wanted. As for the massive amounts of games that come out, it's so hard to actually take the time with a new game. When games like Battlefield: Bad Company 2, Modern Warfare 2, COD Black Ops, and Killzone 2 took up so much of my time this year, it was hard to commit to other games that I purchased. Here's a list of games that I bought this year and have yet to play in any aspect: Borderlands, Uncharted 2, Assassin's Creed 2, Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, Batman: Arkham Asylum, Bio Shock, Bio Shock 2, Halo, Halo 2, and maybe a few more. That's not counting other games that I bought and played for a while and switched back to my FPSs: Halo: Reach, Deadspace, Madden 11, Gran Turismo 5. Somehow I don't see this trend changing anytime soon. Next year alone has must buys like Little Big Planet 2, Deadspace 2, Killzone 3, Resistance 3, Gears of War 3, InFamous 2, and countless others. It's gonna be hard to fit all of these games into my free time. Just an FYI, a lot of the games I haven't played yet that I listed are games that were deals too good to pass up. I'm a sucker for a bargain!
If there was one genre of games that I wish would have a major slowdown, it would have to be First Person Shooters. It just feels like there's a new one out every other month, and what's bad is that all my friends buy them, which means I need to buy it to continue playing with them. Most of them, in fairness, are great games, but what's the point when I only spend a month or so playing it? What's sad is, I will still continue to buy.

What a timely feedback? The world must be ending.

2011 there are way too many good games coming out in the first 4 months and the last 4 months. Summer vacation I'll be catching up on all the earlier games, and looking forward to the end of the year.
