I love feedback, but the nominees are lacking. You guys should take a look at Gamespots game of the year list. It's either you guys forgot some games or you need more categories.

starcraft 2 only game worth talking about this year.

for me, I love Sci FI over Fantasy. However, most games tend to flavor magic and fantasy. I learned to tolerate elves and dwarves... but I would take a zerg, jedi, or a 100 ton Atlas Battletech anyday!

Loved Mass Effect 2 to death, on the PC. Even though I am more of a multiplayer person. I guess that is why god invented Starcraft 2 (for multiplayer on the PC). The trick for Mass Effect 2 on insanity is know thy enemy and thy friends and weapons. Some allies are worthless on insanity level while some can be very useful. The Single Shot pistol, the sniper weapon, and the shotgun are really good against armor (especially combined with armor ammo) while the automatic weapons (the Assault Rifles and SMG) tend to be much better against shields. I noticed WARP is godly against biotics. Miranda and Thane is a must on missions against collectors or allot of biotic enemies. While Grunt is a very good tank, IMHO and can take down armored beasts like no tomorrow.
Collectors are either armored zombies or biotic barrier shooting fly things and I normally take Thane or Miranda and Grunt against them.
Likewise, Mass Effect 2 has a few areas where the enemies will constantly and respawn if you do not advance forward. That is the last trick about insanity to recognize them spawn times and rush forward, even when it may not be a good idea. With the exception of Collectors almost all other enemies will fall back when you rush forward.

After Adam's comment about hardcore Starcraft players I felt compelled to share. Me and most of my friends were very hardcore fans of the original Starcraft. We played it for many long hours. In the beginning we were drawn to the "use map settings" type games that could be anything from tower defense to RPGs. A few years ago we began to get much more competitive, favoring 1v1 matches.
None of us really liked Stacraft II and I would have a difficult time really saying why. Its a good game in its own right but when compared to the original it just lacks something. The original Starcraft may have been the best multi-player ever made so its understandably hard to live up to. But, I found that Starcraft II was NOT a suitable replacement.

I respect your guys opinion for naming Limbo most original game of the year but I think Heavy Rain should won. In Limbo yes it looks great but you only use a couple buttons. In Heavy Rain you have to use the whole controller and if you don't hit your button or stick in the time then there will be a consequence. Heavy Rain had 15 different endings. 15 endings are you kidding me? How many games have had more than 3 not that many. You were invested into each character trying to figure out who the Origami Killer is and when you found out it was shocking and very satisfying experience. Heavy Rain has been underrated this year because of other big games but for all of us that have played Heavy Rain knows how much a original game it is.

I'm with Abbie on Bayonetta, it's tied with Limbo for my personal GotY, with Deadly Premonition and RDR as runner-ups. Still need to play New Vegas and SMG2 though.

Oh, and a Best of 2010 show with no mention of Deadly Premonition?
For shame.

This was probably the best Feedback episode this year, so great job. Also, to Matt Keil; I diagree with your assumption abot the winner of the VideoGame Deathmatch, for I'm a PS3 user who did vote for Mass Effect 2. I can't wait for its release on the PS3.

Great feedback today, keep it up you magnificent parasites.
I hadn't heard that Kojima quote before about games not being art because they are too temporal. It's a good point. The obvious rejoinder to that is that the same thing could be said about any form of established "artistic" expression, and only the most significant work lives on past its15 minutes of fame. Maybe the same could be said about videogames, eventually. It's still a very young medium.
