so in other words, if you like simulators BUY this game, otherwise RENT or PASS. It's that simple. This is not supposed to be an arcade racer so stop bashing it for not being what it isn't supposed to be!!! Ridiculous! I can't stand the arguments against this game!

You guys keep saying you like two sides of a review. In this case was great. But usually if a game sucks I don t want some dummy defending it.

I have been trying to play GT5 but its just not fun to me. I get it a lot of cars and blah blah blah but it feels like I m driving 20mph.

To much hype in my opinion.

I can't explain it, I'm not really haveing "Fun" with the game. But I've played about 15 hours and I keep playing. It hits a weird part of my brain that makes me want to play it.

Hilarious good job guys. I fall on Steve's side, I love the game. I think Kevin does make some valid points, but I also think he killed his own argument. It's called the real Driving Simulator, the game is meant to be about the cars and driving them and making that experience as real as possible.
But I can understand where your coming from. Though I think the Forza vs GT argument is redundent. If you like driving sims, I look at it as you have something great in GT is you have a PS3 and you have something great in Forza if you have an Xbox. If you have both, and you are a true driving/racing fan, I think you would be well justified getting both.

I actually do have both, have the wheel for the xbox and getting the wheel for the ps3. My preference is for GT but I've been playing it since gt1 so I may be biased in that sence.

Also I think the argument against buying the wheel is a little redundent as well. You can play guitar hero and rock bank with just the controlers and have fun, but if you want the full experience that designers wanted your to have you need to get the instruments, same here with the wheel.

Again loved the discussion, was hilarious, but also informative for those sitting on the fence about this game.

    Good one guys.

Steve needs to see the go cart comparison of GT5 and Mario Kart 64, realism are not what games are supposed to be. Like Adam Sessler said, more creativity, less penis!

Driving in real life is already boring enough as it is. I don't need a simulation to remind me of that.

wow. You guys are harsh. Do you give everyone a hard time for sharing their opinion? Show some respect people. I personally have'nt played the game. What Kevin is talking about is how it's dumb to have to unlock a game feature that this game boasts so highly about. That should'nt be an unlock. That's a game mechanic that should be a choice. He's not saying all the cars and tracks should be unlocked and I should be rich. All your people skills suck.

I have never played GT for racing. They have been "my cill-out game for years". If I want to race and get into crazy crashes then I'll play burnout or NFS. I really enjoy GT5 and I just love the variation of different cars, figuring out how to use each one in the best way, and mastering my favorite cars.

You can clearly tell the guy on the left and the people who don't like the game are looking for an arcade racer. Arcade racers are more fun, and are more thrilling, but don't last nearly as long in my experience. Gran Turismo 5 is about the build up of a garage, the feeling of tweaking your favorite car after hours of testing, about precision, apexing every turn perfectly. It's simply a WONDERFUL racing simulator.

Personally, I fall into the love it club. It's only going to get better too. I can't wait to see it evolve but it's already the best racing game out period. I don't see anyone topping this soon.
