Dragons, lizards... whatever... You missed the most important news of all... nope, not more hopeless patches for a FREE to play Beta test of Final Fantasy... APB is saved...nope.

You left out the SWTOR update... this is almost unforgivable... sure let Morgan and Sessler miss it or who ever is hosting AOTS these days... but the MMO Report... Really? Casey, Really?

So I am partial... lets just call it the SWTOR MMO Report and get rid of that old out dated map you use for a back drop and go with something from A Galaxy Far Far Away!

    Hey Casey.

Kyrat Dragons are large, very effing large.

Correct no wings but as you stated some "dragons" do not have wings.

Breath attack, Kyrats can "breath" an extremely hot gust of air that can sear flesh.

Treasure, many different people have used Kyrats as guards for some of the most valuable treasure in the galaxy. (Map to the star forge for instance KOTOR)

Luck, While it may not be luck per say the Sand People revere the Kyrat dragon as a test of strength that overcoming proves one to be a man/warrior. Also the Jedi and other peoples prize the valuable Dragon Pearl that may develop in the bellies of mature Kyrat bring thing them vast fortunes or in the case of the Jedi powerful upgrades to their lightsaber.

Kidnapping the Princess. Many people have been held prisoner by Kyrat's arguably by choice or a case of wrong place wrong time. It wouldn't surprise me if some royalty has been subjected to imprisonment until a (Jedi) Knight in (flowing) armor comes to the rescue. I will get back to you on this one.

Diet, Kyrats will eat anything that comes too close to their jaws. People, Sand People, Banthas even Jedi.

Now I know what you are thinking, they still don't seem like traditional fantasy "dragons" in your book and you may be correct. However this is Bioware and star wars together again at last and I am sure the Kyrats will be far better than "other" in game "dragons". If not, well there is always the Terentatek:

Terentatek resembled rancors, except they had a number of spines growing from their backs and a pair of flaps, or tusk-like projections attached to their mouths. They also had massive claws (three to a hand). The tusks and claws of a terentatek were highly venomous. It was theorized that they were once rancors, subjected to mutations by the Sith. When the dark side was weak in the galaxy, terentateks could hibernate and remain dormant for many years, only to return when the dark side was strong again.

    Kudos!

"In Marge We Trust." The subplot started when writer Donick Cary mentioned that his family used to go dump picking. George Meyer, Funniest Man Alive, came up with lightbulb/fish idea. Matsumura Fishworks was named after a friend of David X. Cohen, Aturo Matsumura.

Also, dragons are cooler than Glen Beck.

Actually Casey if you follow your chart, Krayt Dragons... ARE large size, DO have treasure, and DO eat princesses (well pretty much anyone that crosses their path). As for luck, well I'd say they good luck if you don't cross one. :)

Oh and about dinosaurs and lizards: the fossil record indicates that birds evolved from theropod dinosaurs during the Jurassic period. So dinosaurs are not lizards and lizards did not evolve from dinosaurs.

So SWTOR does have dragons as well as That Other Game with the overhyped xpac coming out.

Speaking as an overgrown ten year old, I feel i must take issue.

Lizards make up only one part of the vast animals once known as dinosaurs. For example, the alligator and crocodile have evolved very little from the time of the dinosaur, and thus are living dinosaurs. Sharks are also living fossils, animals that never had to adapt. There were many lizard dinosaurs.

How ever, many of the more famous dinosaurs belonged to a group which i shall incorrectly describe as "proto-avians" Precursors to modern birds. Of course there is the archaeopteryx, the most famous of the bird like dinosaurs, but the group also includes Raptors of Jurassic Park fame, and none other then the tyrant lizzard king him self. What made these "proto-avians" so distinct from lizards was one, vastly important, adaptation. They were endothermic.

They still couldn't breath fire, of course, though one could imagine their breath could still kill an ox at 100 yards.

There are two updates coming for Final Fantasy XIV before the beginning of the year that are adding a lot of the features that many people believe should have been in the first place as well as a third major patch coming in the early part of next year. Checking Final Fantasy XIV's official site instead of Massively might be a slightly better place for information.

What's so broken about Final Fantasy XIV? Sure, it takes a lot of effort to skill up ranks, but it was my understanding that this is getting fixed in the Nov. 24th patch.

Did you know Godzilla is not a dragon either, even though his primary attack is a breath weapon. However, he has 2 feet (like some Dinosaur). In fact, historians have now proven that Godzilla was actually a Godzillasaurus. A scientific FACT.

The Godzillasaurus is different from other theropods because it's posture is more upright like a human, and it drags its tail on the ground, much like older Theropod reconstructions. It has a smaller head than a real theropod, and has a double-row of teeth, much like a shark. As is shown in Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla II, Godzillasauri seem to be telepathic, as Baby Godzilla can contact his father (However, it is unlikely that unmutated Godzillasauri would be able to do something like that). The Godzillasaurus species is also different from other theropod dinosaurs due to the fact that they contain a second, or "sacral" brain located in their hip to control lower body functions.

The Heisei Godzilla is a gigantic mutant dinosaur, transformed from the fallout of an atomic bomb test. In The Return of Godzilla the famous monster is re-invented to be taller and more powerful, at 80 meters tall and 50,000 metric tons. The Return of Godzilla ignores all previous films in the series aside from the original.
