wtf, there's no volume on this sh t. Assh les.
Fable 3 is lacking more side quests is all
I played Fable 2 for months. I was done with Fable 3 in three days. By the end of the game, my character doesn't look as HALF as cool as he did in Fable 2. Anything outside of the main story seems completely irrelevant - more so than Fable 2.I thought combat was too easy. I never died ONCE the entire game. All these "difficult decisions" you make as king either gives you a a slightly different cut scene and text at the end, or is changes the landscape of your kingdom that you've already finished most of the quests in. Whoopie!
I haven't quite finished the King/Queen part of the game to say if I agree with Adam or not. but they rocks with a little bit of crap (Bugs/glitch's)...though their working on that
I must refrain from watching any peter molyneux interviews in the future, he is just a car salesmen. Peter sits there and promises the moon every time he makes a game. I foolishly listen and go and buy it. I waited for this game to come out foreeeever, got it and beat it in 9 hours. Thats crap, no immersion at all. Theres really to much for me to type so ill just say 3 out of 5 lol
Honestly I prefer the first Fable. Theres things that are definitely much better in the second and third, but I feel the story of the first one had the best and strongest plot, the magic system was infinitely better than 2's and 3's. Fable 2 brought a very nice open world Albion, an absolutely horrible magic system, and a broken co op mechanic. I loved Fable 2 and I guess my biggest complaint about it was the magic system. I understand that they are trying to make the game more accessible, but the way it was implemented was just clunky and the spells didn't feel unique enough (most were and still are in 3 are charge for aoe, charge for targeting, or just single shot). Fable 1 had too many spells, but at least most were very different from one another and were enjoyable. Now with Fable 3, I felt they dumbed the game down a bit too much. The sanctuary is cool, but honestly a few menus for inventory and shops would've helped streamline the game. I hate how everything is just on a little pedestal. I should be able to browse a menu for more options. Another thing that drove me nuts about 3 was the fact that the morality system was almost nonexistant. I don't get any gradual morphing like the first or the second game, it's just handed to me at the very end. The weapon morphing was cool but could've been implemented better (maybe more gradual changes and eventually big ones). It's stupid that the only time the hero weapons morph is when you upgrade your skills. And this brings me to my next annoyance with Fable 3, the road to rule. This is basically just a glorified experience tree chain. I absolutely HATED how I had to progress through the story to increase my stats. I would like to be able to turn myself into an absolute badass before I even get halfway through the story. I remember in Fable 1, I would always go straight through Darkwood (was that the name?) and get a decent amount of gold and exp and then go and 3 shot the Wasp Queen with the obsidian greataxe I would dig up in Oakvale. And finally, my overall beef with where Fable is going has to do with Theresa and all these other loose ends. There's no definitive answer as to what happened to the hero of Oakvale? What happened to Sparrow's sister with Scythe in 2? What happened to Avo's tear? WTF happened to all the areas from Fable 2 (Bloodstone, Oakfield, the place you can build in 2)? I know theres a few obvious things like Millfield being Bower Lake and a few others but I would like to have a little more information. I just wish they'd at least tie up some loose ends and tie in Fable 1 and 2 in more.Anyways, sorry for the wall o' text, I'm just giving my two cents about Fable. Loved all 3, just wish Fable 1 was more integrated, along with 2 now.
All of the Fable games have been too shallow for my liking. The series can't come close to the likes of Fallout or Mass Effect.
I had something interesting to say, but despite knowing every possible form of profanity, I keep getting a "refrain from profanity" message.Short of it: Fable 3, 5 out of 5, and it should get game of the year again.
"Of course, it wouldn t be a Fable game without a little disappointment, right?" - That's such a great quote.
only thing that sucks about fable 3 is it's not multi platform ... so my ps3 feels hungry for rpg action.
I wish they didnt super simplify it like they did, but I still love the game. Put around 20 hours into it. Though, I heard all these points before from you Adam. Find something new to talk about.
Love Fable 3, and can say I lost a couple nights of sleep because of this. If there's one thing I can say that made me love the combat in this game is the spell weaving.
Fable 3 is way to simplified, I hate almost every aspect of it but the story which is okay. The Expression system needs reworking and they need to bring back actual rpg elements.
Fable 2 is no where near this game. This one is so much better.
