for those who want to know where John Romero has been since Diakatana..... in the early 00's he formed a small dev team (called "Monkeystone games") to make cell phone/handheld games... he made two games there and then they closed and John formed a new team to make an MMO...

John Romero has been developing a MMO for the last 6 or 7 years in his new company "Slipgate Ironworks". Why anyone thinks they can take a slice of the WOW pie is beyond me.
