TreeClaw I agree with your analysis.

My interpretation is near to model 2: any game below a score of three (3) is not viable. However I must say that I only read reviews in several particular cases:

    1) If I have high expectations whether negative or positive even if I m not going to purchase it.
    2) I ve played the game and want to see what X-play s opinion is.
    3) I have only 50 dollars to spend and have to make a decision between two games that I have high hopes for.

That being said I can easily see where game developers would want only four (4) or Five (5) star reviews in the case of g4tv, given case 3.

A game that scored three (3) only is considered if I have extra cash and have played or purchased the other 4 or 5 star tilts that I want OR if I have already decided due to some external factor or experience I AM GONNA GET THAT GAME!

Another great feedback, and as someone working in the world of Computer Networking I especially loved the banter around the term "cloud".

    Are you kidding me?

There's 4 of you sitting there and no one knows how Steam works? The Steam cloud holds your saved games and achievements, you don't stream the game like OnLive. You download the game to your PC and launches it through Steam. The only difference between running a game that uses Steamworks and one that doesn't is that you keep saves on your hard drive and they back them up online.

MORE USERS THAN XBL AND YOU DON'T KNOW!!!! *head explodes*

Note on the opening cinema screen ... You should go back and check out Legend of Dragoon and Chrono Cross. Still imo the best opening scenes ever for what they had to work with.

Okay, I agree with many of the points made about Fable III, both the pros and the cons. I've been playing my fair share of it these past few days. I have to say, overall, Lionhead Studios really delivered on many of the things that I love about the Fable franchise... but also took away a lot of things I didn't want to see go away. That being said, I'd like to add a couple of "cons" to the list, if I may:

I know from the Developer Diary series that Peter Molyneux wanted to move more toward an "action-adventure meets RPG" sort of feel for this game. However, in an effort to clean up the HUD, they took away health and mana bars. Now, I can see these going away with the implementation of the gauntlets as far as mana is concerned. However, it's VERY hard to get the "no knockouts" achievement when you don't even know how much health you have left! It's been INFURIATING!

On a final note: I have no idea why no one mentioned the lack of a feasible MAP in this game! Okay, so, the map table in the sanctuary is a really nice touch and I loved it. The problem is that none of the regions have "realistic" proportions so as to easily facilitate exploration. You can't find ANYTHING using the bloody thing! Not only that, there's no marker to show your current position so you can even hope to navigate around the map. I pride myself on things I find on the map without having to resort to a strategy guide, but with the failing of the map, itself, you almost HAVE to buy the strategy guide just to really learn your way around. THAT needs fixing! I didn't like the map in Fable II because it was not very descriptive and you only saw it in the pause menu (mini-map failed). With the new GUI, there could have been SO much more done with the map. As it is, this particular feature is the WORST of the whole game AND equates to the largest headache.

Hardcore mode was in Diablo 2 by the way if you guys didn't know that.
Fable 3 was an a great game. The only really big problems I had with the game was one is that there was no mana bar so I could just cast non-stop. Two there wasn't a health bar so I never really knew when I was close to death until that dpad hud display pops up and flashes red. Three the game was incredibly easy the fact that you could be powerful in magic, guns and melee just made the game ridiculously easy. There was just no challenge all I did was cast my spells and roll away on the bosses. And now I practicly one shot everything in the game. And the final thing was the fact that they really dulled down the RPG element of the game. Your clothing was just clothing it had no armor stats. And pouring your stats into a certain spec just so you can be powerful in that certain area. And I hated how in this game you don't get any special powers if your good or evil like in the past fable games. They took away the best elements of Fable just to appear to a bigger more casual fanbase when to a hardcore fable follower it felt lacking.
And I like the 5 out of 5 system just because 5 its perfect, 4 its still a really good game, 3 its an average game, 2 eh its not that great, and 1 its really lacking.

From now on, could you please change the phrase "Obscure Reference" to "Educated Reference" or "Well-Read Reference" or "Well-Rounded Reference"? The man is smart and if you don't get it, that makes it an "Over-Your-Head Reference".

Regarding the glitches in New Vegas, I'm glad you guys did the research to point out that it's mostly the fault of the buggy Embyro engine, seeing as previous of NV didn't mentioned that.. As J.P. (or was it Kevin?) said, most of the bugs that are surfacing in NV occurred on Fallout 3 (as well as Oblivion) before their respective patches were applied.

I'm loving all the videos with this Leah girl (*o*)b ...I could go on a raid with her any day.... Damn, I can't believe I didn't go to Blizzcon, it was just down the street, and my friend ripped on me cuz he worked there and got swag... I wanted to get RB3 cuz of the squier but then learned it doesn't come out till next year... I thought Ps3 did get the patch, mine dled something and now it does a weird load where it changes the loading message really fast...I'm mad at New Vegas because of that virus with the brotherhood of steel...I guess I could skip it but its too insulting...Those app games seam like the were already preconceived but just needed an easy outlet...what I hate are the games, if you could call them that, that require you too wait for something to be accomplished i.e. farmville(wth a bee is going nuts on my ceiling lamp) uhhh... all you are really investing in it is time, that you wont get back, and not much skill or brain power. Not to be offensive, that's probably why such a broad spectrum of people are getting into casual gaming.
