Indiecade: Tim Schafer Acceptance Speech

At the 2010 Indiecade Awards ceremony, our good friend Tim Schafer was presented with the 'Honorary Trailblazer' award. Watch his acceptance speech as he thanks all the indie developers at for creating games with no or little money that are incredible.

amazing talented man i was a little disappointed with brutal legend but costume quest looks like a fun break in between all the shooters out

Man, Tim Schafer really had a bad relationship with Activision, more specifically Bobby Kotick to make him say the "The Tainted Teat of the Publisher" comment. Not that Kotick doesn't deserve it.

I bet it would be a real coup in terms of goodwill from the community for EA to give Schafer another big budget. They're becoming the good guys now; kotick is the satan of the industry.

Seriously, Black Ops is the only exciting game coming out of acti at the moment and even that's nothing particularly special. Without CoD they'd be riding Blizzard's coattails

Now EA has some decent studios (Bioware) and the constant flow of sports game money I can see them getting ahead quite soon in terms of sales, especially if MoH does well.

PS. Blizzard seems like it's made of good guys, why are they even working with that Jackass?
