Hu how appropriate. I just got off COD because I was told how much I love penis in my butt and mouth, and the reason I crouch in the game is because there is a dildo up my butt.

Glad to see Adam speaking out against this. I also loved how he got his shot in at his high school bullies, ha. Love this man.

It's a great topic that Adam covered and it's great that we have someone to cover that in the gaming community.

Great soapbox. The anominity that online bullies use is straight up cowardly and it makes them seem that much more immature.

This is why I've avoided online multi-player games altogether.
I personally think that the internet is doing quite the opposite from what many thought. In many ways, it is no longer a testament to intellectuality, and the information age. Never before have we had the world at our finger tips and so many do nothing with it.
    This society is shifting.
Everyone is conforming toward this culture of anonymity; hiding behind avatars and usernames, and saying all they want any repercussion. There is no end to volatile noise or actions when performed in the dark. Human nature tells us enough about that.
People need to be held accountable, because abuse and intimidation is unacceptable!
But maybe I'm a little off. What do you think?

bullying has been going on since humans started roaming the earth, kids need to grow some balls and either fight back or learn how to talk trash better than the other guy.

Is it ok to perhaps give those bullies a taste of their own medicine$ Because I have a particular set of skills that makes me a gabbing nightmare for bullies like that. When i hear some dude picking on a kid it makes me SO ANGRY i find that bullies weakness and exploit the pudge out of it. I enjoy it very much.

I completely agree on handling down right ugly spirited people. I believe it's always been there but the comfort of anonymity has indirectly supported this world-wide dark behavior. One of the most troubling victims of this is the gay community to me. The open and unjust slander of there community is unavoidably inhumane and extremely unfair. It is probably one of the worst aspects of gaming and I think the world will soon open their eyes in shock at this treatment in the same way many were enlightened after the black community achieved over-all social acceptance and equality.

I agree with you, but the problem with "dicks" are... "dicks" don't have ears. So like you stated, report the people that are offensive.

Thats just how people are, if they feel tough enough in person to bully then imagine how people are when they know the other person cant see of physically retaliate against them because they are just an avatar on a game screen.

Until the parent companies that regulate online gaming on their respective systems (PS3/360) start actively banning rude foulmouthed players/children it wont change, ever. And I dont mean a few days ban and you can come back, I mean your account is blocked FOREVER, your trophies/achievements are gone and you are banned from online play.

I agree though, between games that have online fees and the sheer cost of games in general, I dont spend that money to come home and deal with the same things I see youngsters and immature adults do on a daily basis both in real life and on reality TV.

Its just a game, enjoy playing the games you play and enjoy being a gamer, why do people always have to be so rude and hostile in a virtual environment?

Nice shirt! Richard Pryor was so beast. More on topic, the title of this video says it all. People out there, just stop being dicks. It's that simple

It also sucks to hear 10 year old kids talking trash and calling people gay. It does not sound right coming from anyone. If you dont have anything good to say, take off your mic.

Internet, serious business. Xbox Live, seriouser business. Real life? Bah, who cares when we've got internet and xbox live...

Really. If you let a 10-year old on CoD get you down with insults to which they have zero understanding of, then you *deserve* to wanna feel like killing yourself. Your contemplation of societal liquidation is justifiable and encouraged.

Sure, high school sucked. Being stuffed in a locker whilst simultaneously inflicted with a wedgie sucked. But at least that somewhat "developed character." Halo online bullying, what have *you* developed? Mastery of the Rage Quit.

    Biiiiig difference.

Great topic, although I do dislike how the media is making this whole issue seem brand new and the internet is all to blame. Bullying has been already since forever, the internet just amplifies the effect. Parents need to do their job and not just monitor their kids like a hawk, no they need to train their kid to show them why you shouldn't be a dick so they can do the right thing on their own. I admit when I played games at 12-13 I was a dick, not a big bully but I talked trash. After around 14yo or so it was like a light-bulb went off in my head and now just can not believe why people are so hostile toward others online. The 10-16 year old kids arn't the problem, annoying yes, but its the 17-25yo douchbags who throw every slander word in the book at you for something as small as throwing a bad grenade in CoD.

Whats funny is I can usually talk these punks down and show them the errors of their ways but if you even for a second try and defend yourself by saying something as innocent like "just calm down, dude" they will tear you to shreds. You kind of have to use reverse-psychology by showing them they are attacking you for throwing a bad grenade... how idiotic is that.

I thought this was a gaming website, It's just the internet. People deal with bullying EVERY day at school. It's nothing new.
