Google's Self-Driving Car Program

Earlier, Google revealed their self-driving car program that hit the streets of California. Kevin Pereira talks to Ray Wert, Editor-in-Chief of Jalopnik to talk about what Google's new development means, how long the test driving has been going on and what this technology could be used for. Who needs flying cars when you have cars that drive themselves?

Better than driving drunk. This way you can put your stuborn friends behind the wheel and tell them "Ok, drive all you want."

I'm more concerned about the people driving and filming the Google car than the Google car itself.

Think I-Robot, without the murderous A.I. program driving, then the DUI's will be a thing of the past.

Type in any address on Google maps. That's how far off it will be when it makes that hard right turn.

    140,000 miles and 1 'accident' ...... incredible....

My sister hasnt even reached 50,000 miles and has wrecked 3 times, roached a new motor by driving in low at high speeds for a long time(I literally rofled on this occurence), rolled(& totaled) a mustang that had 30,000 miles in total, and is currently on her 4th car right now.......

I would feel safer having 100% autonomous driving vehicles on the road than just 1 of my sister.
