I felt "Bioshock 2" was two incomplete games. The story of the single player wasn't as strong as its predecessor. But more disappointingly, the multi-player never lived up to the promise of "filling in the gaps". Multi-player felt a bit tacked on and added for the sake of adding it. I would have preferred a co-op experience as opposed to Capture the Flag in Rapture.

"Bioshock Infinite" seems to be moving away from the previous games; not only in feel and presentation, but with the political undertone as well. While this is only a demo, I has a lot of story in it as well.

It's going to be interesting to see how things pan out. While I don't want to get my hopes up and get wrapped up in what they're showing now, it's clear Irrational Games want to make a statement about the game. My ears are perked to see what we'll see before release. I just hope I don't get my heart broken in 2012.

I am not a fan of hyperbole. I believe it is an indicator of extremism and to paraphrase Ferris Bueller I don't condone "isms".
However, in all of my 45 years living and my 35 years of gaming have I ever felt as I do about the idea of this game.
Key to this is not just the fact that everything about the game looks mindshatteringly awesome but that the developers have said and shown so much AT LEAST ONE FULL YEAR (and perhaps as long as TWO) before it's scheduled release.
This is beyond cruel. It is bordering on inhumane (see how hyperbole works) to expect us to wait that long.
I have decided to leave my profession, go into game design and seek a job from Irrational Games if for no other reason than to interact with this game before madness takes me.

Can't Wait for this to drop. I was a big fan of Bio Shock and even a bit of a fan of System Shock. There are no words that possible describe how much I want to play this.

Maybe I'm reading into this too much but I can't help but get the impression (from the signs and the speech) that Columbia and its inhabitants are a critique of the Tea Party and rightwing America. Bioshock games have always had a subtle political tone to them. The original Bioshock was built around Ayn Rand's philosophies and Bioshock 2 explored the concepts of collectivization. Just curious what the political theme will be for Infinite. Anyways, great looking game.
