I work at a store, we sell games.

Playstation Move doesn't come out until the 19th yet we already have the games available for sale.

There has been 0 promotional material or marketing put into our store either (I work in a fairly big chain store)

    side note,
Why are half the comments about how good looking Nicole is? Yes she is hot but we don't need to sound like a bunch of 14 year old boys over it.

I think they're ignoring an important implication of the ruling though. I mean if resale of used games gets banned, what'll happen to games once the publishers stop production? What happens to the thousands of $5 PS2 games in every Gamestop around the globe? We've already seen how hard it is to get really retro games nowadays because there wasn't a system in place to preserve them, and I don't wanna see today's titles just kind of fade out of existence because you can't buy them from retail stores.

I do support the game companies' sentiments, because they do lose a lot of money to resale games that they (and the devs especially) really do deserve some of that money. Perhaps if they had some sort of royalties system where some of the profits from the resale would go to the game companies instead of the store, we may only see a slight increase in used games prices. And then as time passes after a game launches the royalty will gradually decrease, and the price would then drop just like it does now, that way games can still be found and purchased years after their launch.

But yeah, people who say it's not fair don't really look at it from the game companies point of view, which is that it is ultimately their product, and the fact that they only receive money from the initial shipment and not the dozen or so resales afterwards. It's not really fair for them either. Think about this way too, that money would go to increasing the size of the company, maybe even allowing developers to get extra funding so that game quality could go up.

Okay I'm sure this has been answered before but I don't know it. What happen to Patrick Klepek? He has not been on Feedback for like 2 -3 months, nor have they made any reference to him.

I have to say, the issue of the used software/transferable license issue with games is a big one for me atm. I know there are a lot of Fallout 3 fans out there, but having bought it via steam amounted to wiping my *ss with a fifty. Obviously not everyone feels the same way about fallout, that's not the issue. Keep on topic with this please. The way the licenses work for autodesk (the company fighting the resale of this software, the creators of the software as well, makers of maya and 3ds max and other software) is maybe different. If you look at the cost of 3ds max (which I think is the software in question) there is a huge difference in it's functionality and costs than a piece of entertainment software, like say a game. It is also potentially differentiable from the groups that would buy it. A single person buying 3ds max is not impossible, it's more going to be something that a company buys for 3d modeling. The site licenses are $100,000.00+ as I recall. The groups affected by this are not the same, and the court probably should make a differentiation. What gamers are looking at is a piece of entertainment software that is un-transferable. It plays a different role and probably shouldn't be a burden to the consumer.

Hey guys I got 3 questions for you. one game question, one fedback question, and one tech support question . First off, what do you guys think of the new American Megee Alice? I tried to replay the original recently and it was one things where it didnt' compare well to my fond memories. Second, did Patrick die? Third, is it just me or is this video glitched? I tried to watch it and it froze in the middle of the Iphone achievement score board discussion (Thank god I can now have a iphone gamer score to show how much I rule at cogs and Plants vs Zomies when i should be working ). tired it on a second PC and it froze in the same spot.

Is there any way to know how many games the majority of gamers buy a year? I really don't see it as "I can only buy two games this year" anymore. Aren't a majority of gamers now over the age of 18, that have enough income to afford more then 3 games a year.

From the sound of the questions you mentioned maybe it was the wording which affected the answers they received. When they just say 3d gaming, my first reaction even with you saying on Feedback was erm love 3d games, have been playing them for years, as apposed to 2d games which I play a lot less, maybe the odd handheld or download. i didn't take the question as stereoscopic 3d I took it as 3d games with 3 dimensional movement. Maybe it's just me but without a definition of what they mean by 3d I probably would've given them an answer that they would misunderstand.

    Just a thought :)

i find it funny when listen to feedback and how people rag on the ps3, like it's a crappy console or something, but yet THEY OWN ONE!!!! I can talk crap about a console i DON'T own and never will, which would be a wii. talk about a waste of money.... I just think most employee at G4 has something against sony... I mean i watch G4 faithfully and i have never heard a good thing said about sony...O look I'm an xbox and i keep a meaningless score that doesn't mean any thing. Yet there is a ps3 and give out trophies the most iconic of all rewards. when you win the superbowl you get a trophy not 100G. Maybe people would be happy is they gave out plaques. BTW I own both consoles so don't think im a ps3 fanboy... i am good video game fanboy no matter what the console.

Dana Vinson a wench. 100 millions units? THAT'S MORE THAN THE NUMBER OF 360s in the WORLD! And the completely ignorant comment of, "It doesn't have Master Chief!" Yeah. Unnecessary.

I will be buying Move day one. There is a title that you will be able to play, It's called " M.A.G " it is Move ready currently on the M.A.G beta, and will be moving to live in a bit.

What I am looking for with Move is Shooter games, M.A.G & Killzone3 are 2 I really look forward to using it with. Heavy Rain i've had sitting on my shelf waiting to be played after I read that it will be Move enabled with a patch coming out on the 22nd.

What about Oblivion with Move? Would be amazing, I hope we have another with Move enabled, Sorcery also looks like a blast...

Yes the starting lineup is a hair weak, M.A.G is something hardcore right out of the box we will something to enjoy.
