Just got to watching this... Somebody mentioned ps3 trophies. Heres the thing with them... And ive said this before many times... a gold star doesnt motivate kids as much as a lolipop or a toy car. One of the things that the system is kinda built to encoporate is its microtransaction driven mmo Home.

Though it isnt a massively used service it is a used service. I REALLY got into home for a while shortly after sodium was set up. Really got into the game...even appeared on some daily leader-boards...then they stopped making it worth your while. They never made the game competitive or co-op. And once youve played for a couple weeks you have everything you can get from the game, so it gets stale.

Now. I am going somewhere. Lets look at Trophies. Saaaay... R&C Crack in time... Maybe if you get a all the bronze trophies you get like a big poster for your apartment. You get all the gold you get your cunstructo pistol.(default setting im sure..making it mirror your game save would be...hard........Or god of war. Get the platinum trophy and get the blades of Kratos.. Give gamers a REASON to want to spend hours trying to get those trophies. And i think this would be great marketing, why? Well... Gee... You have items you can ONLY get by buying the game. if somebody REALLY wants a virtual item for their dolly..err.. their avatar...they have to buy the game, and grind it out for those trophies and earn it...

I work in a hotel with a rewards club. We have 3 levels. Club, Gold, and Plat. Gold you can buy your way into for 50 bucks. Plat, you gotta earn it. Actually give players a reason to sit back and say "SCORE! I am the chamions, you guuuuuyz"

Im just saying...it wouldnt cost anything, and would actually make trophies matter.

Adam, please note that Bubble Bobble is my all time favorite game. In the future, please treat this game with the respect it so clearly deserves.

Nintendo saved the home console gaming industry.

After the slew of horrible Atari games such as E.T and Pac Man.

I found that I liked Nikole more and more as the podcast went on. Not only is she pretty and a gamer, but everything she said basically summed up my thoughts about achievements, motion controls, 3D, and everything they were talking about. I was pretty surprised. Bravo *clap*

This is the third week in a row that the HD feedback won't work. the video loads but the play button does not work for some reason. The SD version works but it's just not the same.

    oh and:
Game Center looks like it was quickly added on when apple learned about Xbox Live for WP7
3D gaming only looks interesting on the 3DS, everything else just looks like a head ache and a waste of money.
And I'm still not convinced on Move.

The one thing I saw a lot of prospect in with the Wii was when I first got my Wii Zapper. I'm playing Link's Crossbow Training and to my surprise the hidden gem of a third person shooter. After playing that I thought a ton of developers would be making TPS games for the Wii, but it never happened.

I'm sure Move will have as much success game wise as the Wii, with few gems and a ton of gimmicks but I think TPS games have a HUGE chance to succeed with a good peripheral

I have a question for the G4 staff: As someone who has never played Heavy Rain yet, would you recommend playing through the game with the Move or with tradition controls?

I'm getting the new PS3 Move bundle delivered this friday. My launch 60g got its second rlod and I sold it on amazon rather than try to fix again and upgraded to the more reliable slim model. I decided to wait it out because I wanted the 320g drive more than anything, and the move was merely icing on the cake. Ordered Eyepet for my son, but other than Heavy Rain I can't see Move holding any interest for me until Socom or Killzone 3 comes out.

It was great to see Nikole invited on. I wish they would use her more at G4, I would love to see her on Attack of the show or covering the conventions and things like that.

I do have a differing opinion to what they were talking about with the resale of games. Take Gamestop for example. You buy a $60 game, take it home and beat it and bring it back a week or two later (Now not everyone does this but there are some). Gamestop now buys that $60 game for $25 and then resells it for $54.99. Losing the ability to do this will definitley hurt them badly as I would expect they earn quite a bit of income from the multiple resales of games.

As I said this just how I see and is not necessarily the opinion of anyone other than myself.

Nancy Pancy is one of the best game series ever, Tea party should be even better now that they incorporated motion plus into the mix.

I don't understand the resentment shown towards the trophy system, you automatically see peoples levels, and its not that hard to see how many trophies people have. I am sure all hardcore gamers using the PS3 know how to. And it's quite clear how much more trophies I have than all of my friends. No this is not little league, we very much are keeping score.

So let me get this straight...there are gamers out there now who significantly like a game less if it doesn't have achievements? I'm more in Adam's age group than in Nikole's, so this is a foreign concept to me. I can't imagine thinking less of Pac Man, Final Fantasy I through 12, and anything with the names Mario, Zelda, or Metroid in the titles just because stranger in cyberspace couldn't see little metals gamers earned. Really? REALLY?

HAHA! You actually took it seriously when she said 100 million units?? Moron, its called an exaggeration, I'm sure you've done it in your life and if you haven't, pull the stick thats in your a** out. I think Dana is perfectly fine on the show, she doesn't sit there like a bump on a log or anything. Everyone that was on did a good job (although Jake is a little quiet lol) and I'm surprised at how much Nikole talked. Normally newcomers aren't very talkative. Great show everyone! Looking forward to next week!

Just felt I should clarify for those who don't know how federal courts work: this ruling, if applied to the used video games market, would only occur in the jurisdiction in which the decision was made. The 9th Circuit Court of Appeals jurisdiction would be the only place where this decision would have any mandatory authority. Other federal and state courts elsewhere could use the decision as persuasive authority and come to similar conclusions, but unless the U.S. Supreme Court makes a ruling here, this is a limited ruling, geographically speaking.

A very important issue with this court ruling is what what would happen to rare games (Panzer Dragoon, Rez, Amplitude, Final Fantasy 7, etc) that people want to resell and make some money on? And i have alot of software that my dad gave me to play with audio and video and some other elements. would this court ruling make all of that illegal to change hands
