When I reached the end credits, I noticed that when the grid pops up next to the credits, it shows a "7" while its fading out. Any significance about that?

Don't even have a 360 so I played at a friends house. Don't really care for Halo, but this one was the best gameplay wise. The story of the game always felt lacking and it was so short I'm supprised it wasn't just DLC, but I guess shooters arn't build for good campaigns anymore, just multiplayer. It was neat to see how the package tied into The Pillar of Autumn. The book was a lot better, and anyone who has seen the title would know what happens at the end.

The little canister wasn't the master chief though. The package is Cortana. Master Chief is already on the pillar of autumn.

I thought the Spartans on Reach were supposed to be the elite ? kinda cheesey ending even for a prequel (its better than star wars Epi1...) I will say this tho since I dont a xbox 360 I might have gotten this if i did have one. lets hope now that bungie are no longer a M$ exclusive lets see how the do cross platform

I played Halo 1-3 and now i just got to see the ending to Reach, now I never need to own a 360... lol

I have to agree with the comments that claim the ending is dull. I really like Halo's fiction, but the voice acting coupled with the fight scene had me hoping the video wouldn't end. I kept asking myself," is that it?"

For those that are saying it was crappy ending, you need to play the game in order to get the full meaning of it (i.e. the voiceover)
Also the part where you fight endless waves of enemies was cut.....

So. Let me break down what i just saw.
"this is the pillar of autumn. the package (Master chief) is safe"
-fade to black-
Stares at the sky
-Fade to black-
for whatever reason, takes of helmet. Helmet shows a really bad fight. (Seriously. that was like the worst spartan fight ive ever seen)
-Fade to black-
Voice over . "bla bla bla. You sucked. Reach fell. It was glassed over. But not in this scene. yes, time has past and we are telling you what happen, but you dont get to see the glassed planet. Enjoy this rolling hill scene.... Master chief will do and did do better than you. You helped....we guess...sorta..."
-fade to white-
Seriously. M$ has an amazing talent. "We have a plot already wrote by a acclaimed author... But lets ignore that. Heres what REALLY HAPPENED! And yes. it kinda got worse. BUT LOOK! ITS HAAAAAALOOOOOOOO"

Seriously, what is the point of this? Obviously people who own Reach are going to beat it, people who are going to buy Reach do not want to see it yet, and PS3 fans do not give a crap.
