We can haz space emus'! Seriously though, good talk Adam. Different than usual though, with this it was what makes halo-and particularly Halo: Reach- good, and there s nothing wrong with that. Because it is (as Adam has said) the sense of theres so much more out there and there s an under lying tone or attitude that is within all the haloverse. That and the combination of great FPS gameplay , that is what propelled halo to its rightful place. May it stay mighty for many years to come.

I kind of disagree with some parts of Kevin's review. He said it wasn't as emotional as he wanted but I just played through the campaign and realised that no game has made me feel as much as this one, and that's including Mass Effect. The crushing sense of futility really does lend itself well to the game and I just felt really, really bad when characters died.

I get what Adam's saying about you being part of something bigger when you play halo. The Half-Life games may be widely accepted as the best single-player fps out there, but you're always the only important thing going on in that game. Everything else is incidental. With Halo's universe and stories, you feel like yours is just one of any amount adventures that could be going on.

with mafia 2 or other videogames he has talked about in sessler's soapbox he will usually relate what he's talking about to videogames in general or at least other videogames in the same genre, this was not the case with this one, he basically said, i like halo, this is a good halo, this is a couple improvements they have made since the last Halo. And that was it.

I felt rather cheated out of a quality campaign experience with Halo 3. Don't get me wrong I loved the story that Halo 3 continued but I ended the game feeling like I bought a lackluster $60 book. The new features that forge brought to the table were great as well the multiplayer. Overall I just felt Bungie spend more time on those two game mechanics. I've read the Halo: The Fall of Reach novel and I'm hoping Bunige applied the same epic scale of urgency and weight to its campaign story.

    Remember Reach

It isn't going to be the last Halo game. It's Bungie's last Halo game.
They're moving on to new projects while, from what I'm aware, some of the original dev team are splintering off into a new studio dubbed 117 (after Master Chief).

So it basically means Bungie split into two companies to accommodate their growth.

Can someone send a copy of Medal Of Honor to Adam when it comes out? Cause he really needs to see what a real game looks like.

Did anyone else get the sense that "the Sess" thinks this isn't going to be the last Halo game? I'd be interested to hear what his thoughts are on that.

    BTW, good soapbox as usual.
