I read that comment on Kotaku, and he makes a great point. It's always interesting to hear about Group A doing something to protect Group B, but then Group B says they don't understand/want whatever Group A is doing. Multiple (ex-)soldiers positioned in the Middle East have posted on the Kotaku story and other sites and almost all of them disagree with the decision. Doesn't that show that something is wrong?

do you not already in modern warfare? in mobilized you play coalition vs. insurgency it's kind of the same, and you also have an explosive tip crossbow, you guys didn't seem to know that since you think it is so new in black ops.

Whats sickening is the amount of ignorance people exhibit to everything! Thanks to the internet and this tight nit community its developed everyone thinks they are entitled to speak their mind about anything and everything, no matter how much knowledge they have on the subject. Here are some examples:

*If one crooked cop makes the news then people accuse the whole force of being dirty, if not every cop in existence.

*People claim airsoft guns are evil and dangerous because they LOOK real? A paintball or BB gun does much more damage and they say nothing!

*If a police officer makes an honest MISTAKE, people then want to crucify him (hypocrites do not sit to think about how many honest screw-up they have done at their own jobs).

*Obviously people have no respect for video games, you could have 5 games in your room (LittleBigPlanet, Mario, Kirby, Wii Sports, and Modern Warfare 2) and they will only focus on the latter by saying you are disturbed child for loving to kill people for fun...

I could go on and on but my gosh people need to stop talking crap about stuff they know nothing about! If they only spent less time attacking, and more time spent on understanding the situation the world would be a better place.

What's in gonna take to get a politician who plays videogames? Before they decide to complain about or ban a game, they should play it first.

Very good episode today. I absolutely dislike the irrational comments made by some unaffiliated and otherwise uninformed on games development, who suggest that video games and the video game industry are all out to upset and strike controversy within society. I convey deep sympathy to that mother who lost her son from war, but I believe EA has the right to include the Taliban in their title.

@ Darthjacob22, the amount of ignorance makes all of us who know the facts about the game want to vomit, or punch a baby

Censorship. This whole situation is making me sick. My local newspaper, The San Jose Mercury News, recently ran a story about the game, claiming that the only mode in the game has you playing as Taliban, failing to mention that the ability to do so is only available in multiplayer, and interviewing a 13-year-old-kid (who is not of age to buy the game)about why he likes war games. I almost threw up when I read the subsquent letters, with people quoting the little kid and also claiming that they wanted to see a video game where people play as terrorists killing video game development teams. The amount of ignorance that these stories are creating makes me want to vommit.

Oh so playing a rebel scientist is okay but not as a terrorist association. I see. Maybe if Valve made the game. ;)
