Will forever miss Bungie. Halo, undoubtedly, the greatest Sci-Fi FPS franchise ever. Can never forget the epic introduction into the Halo universe back in Halo: CE when we first landed in the life pod. The awesome duel wielding of Halo 2. The expansive possibilities in Halo 3's Forge mode. Firefight in ODST. And now...Reach.

@ Atari_Prime: I won't lie or even try to dispute that the Halo story line has really been getting holes lately, and hopefully Reach will answer some, if not all of those.
As far as simple goes.. I suppose your advanced all knowing brain can compute the Halo story at much higher speeds and comprehension when compared to a less agile mind such as mine. So congratulations on that, but if you want to see a simple story go get Penn & Teller's Smoke and Mirrors and play the Desert Bus mini game.
Halo is slow when compared to Ninja Gaiden 2. In the Halo world Master Chief stands roughly 7 feet tall and weighs 1,000 pounds. So I'm glad that his speed is realistic.
I think you're going to be really, REALLY hard pressed to find a game without repetitive environments. Tetris is one of the most repetitive games out there and it's still one of the best.
EliteBAMF made a great point. I completely agree with you EliteBAMF, the game play is much more strategic and complex than other FPS games. Which is a major bonus for Halo.
The lasting appeal of Halo really has something to do with the very low suck factor the game has.

Halo...I just don't get it. Played Halo 1, 2, 3, and ODST...but I can't say that I was ever impressed. The characters move slow and you have to put about a thousand bulletts into your enemy unless you use one of the cheap tricks. The environments are repetative. The story is convoluted and simplistic at its heart. So...someone please explain it to me, what is the appeal?

Oh X-Play, you give so much attention to Halo: Reach, I know it won't be out in a week but why don't you give it a 5 out of 5 already! Anyone wants to bet 500 bucks that it won't get a rating less than 5?
BladeLightning
the question I want answered is if I can play some Team Slayer without having to buy the map packs... not being stuck with stupid social slayer.
