Hello Miss Butler. Love your show. I have a beef with this week's episode though. Mata Hari was a double spy working for the Allies during World War I against the germans. She didn't spy for them, but she made them believe she did. The Nazi regime was established in the late 20's if I'm not mistaken, while World War I ended in 1914. The book you were talking about might portray it in another way, in which case, just ignore my little rant. :-)

Secret Warriors and Secret Avengers are currently two of my top must read books. The Steve Rogers limited series is also fantastic. Totally agree with last week's pick of the week.
Scarlet issue 2 was good, but, not as great as issue 1. Probably because he went backwards to reveal her back story in more detail. Although, I thought they explained it well enough in issue 1 to not have to spend an entire issue on the subject. Hopefully going forward, issue 3 will be as good if not better than issue 1. Also, I don't mind the "wordiness".
Finally, perhaps you didn't have enough time. No mention of Wonder Woman 602 or Batman 702? I like what JMS has done with Diana and I have zero problems with the new outfit.

Battlefields and the Sgt. Rock one-shot sound great but I have no interest in war stories. Picking any of these up is going to be a gamble. The PunisherMAX one-shot last week was really good. Wanna see more of Joe the accountant.

Yay, back to normal!

In total agreement with the pick of the week. It was the one book that really brought me in. The one panel near the end looking down at the two people holding hands stuck with me. The perk of working at a comic store is I get to at least get a better look at most of what comes out so I can find comics I might normally have just overlooked. Sometimes the best way to grab a reader is to exploit memory or known imagery even if it is not enjoyable to properly connect with the feelings being portrayed in the story. Since I feel this was effectively and reverently done I do not fault the writer for using this. War is war.
