Please, just blame it on Team Ninja. I mean, partly on Nintendo for allowing it, but mostly on team Ninja. And hope for a remake, cuz it still looks fun, game play wise. Just not from Team Ninja.

Also, i have given up on figuring out how Samus fits in the suit, i'm going to go with the same explanation as the Morph Ball and missiles. It's subspace. also, her cannon is longer in the other games... at least the Prime games.

That suuuuuuuuuucks. After hearing about this after Fusion, i was excited...

Also, i have to strain to get my thumb to point all the way down. Not much, but more than i should.

You know what game is really sexist? Twilight Princess! The whole game you're bossed around by a woman who rides on your back and physically and emotionally abuses you! Notice that Link isn't even given a voice, clearly meant to imply that all men should be blindly subservient to women. And what's the deal with turning into a dog? Since every protagonist in any story must be a representative of the entire gender instead of a unique character with his or her own unique character traits and flaws, clearly the statement here is all men are dogs! Oh wait, these rules only apply to female characters? Oh, never mind then.

Let me see if I can put this into a situation anyone could relate too. It's like when you come home from school and your mom asks how your day was and you say, "I had my lunch stolen and got hit in the face with a dodgeball at gym. But I did find a penny on the ground on my way home!" It's like all the bad things out-shadow the good things even though the good things weren't all the great to begin with.

Obviously I haven't played it so once the game comes out people can see for themselves if they believe what Abbie was saying.

Missiles refilling when you think about it hard enough? Sounds like the game designers were a little too fond of "The Secret."

I would make a joke about Matt being whipped but Abbie might tear me a new metaphorical backend.

How come every time a Halo gets 5/5 people come on in droves bitching that G4 gives every AAA title a five out of five but now we get a AAA that really, truly sucks balls, and it gets its proper score everyone freaks out?

I've never found a bad g4 review to be inaccurate, now their good reviews on the other hand... Fable II got a 5/5 and if everytime some starts a worst 360 games of all time thread Fable II is always on the top of the list.

Seems like there are undue comparisons to the PRIME series. If the developers had implemented a full 1st person scheme no one would have played it as 3rd person. This games purposely stops you in your tracks during 1st person perspective for immersion.

"Are you quoting Shakespeare or Star Trek?"

Actually, it's Herman Melville, but to be honest
I remember the quote not from reading Moby Dick,
but...it's a new achievement to kill Whale Shark in Cataclysm ;D

what is wrong with one person thought on a game, does it hurt you that Abbie hate most of the game. no, are review that important to how i will enjoy a game no, Best review game of all time Is The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, i did think it was that great, but i think A link To the Past is still better. Why did reviews have to have a number system, because all it became is a big fight over this game that this score but this game got this score. Who care.

Why did people have to be up that some where like IGN give Other M a 8.5 or Destructiod give it a 6.5 because last time a check this was G4 not IGN or Destructiod.

Why does Samus look half Japanese and half white?

I think Samus should just get back in the kitchen and make me a sandwich... (for those unaware of my intentions with this comment, this is what educated people call sarcasm). But in all seriousness, I don't notice any sexism in this game. All I notice is Samus longing for the direction and aid of a mentor from her past, whether this mentor is a man or a woman. Even I too long for the direction of a mentor from my past. She was trained to believe that the ideas and orders her commanding officer had to give were in fact the best for the situation laid out in front of them. I will by this game. I take this review with a grain of salt (like all other G4 reviews) only because I think the offenders in this are the ones who clearly are not good reviewers. 17 minutes, 17 minutes of my life wasted on this petty nonsensical babble laced with the most incomprehensible, falsely accused, childish remarks I have ever heard out of a so called "reporter". I'm done... I'm done with you G4. unless you are showing a movie that doesn't suck on your channel! :)

What's really hilarious is the fact that if Adam were a female, this discussion would have a WHOLE different tone?

Longtime Metroid fans who probably wanted to generate some controversy.

Sorry, I don't buy it. While everyone has their own opinion, it's pretty hard to believe that you and GI are the only ones who think it sucks while everyone else loves it. If it was as bad as you say it is, wouldn't EVERYONE think so? Especially considering that the other reviews bring up some of the negative points you do and STILL recommend it.

It sounds to me like you had a preconceived notion of the game, got upset when the game didn't meet them, and decided to score the game lowly.

Lord knows you guys did the same thing to Crisis Core and became the laughing stock of the industry.

I don't know why but the way both these two look posted on the vid makes me want to punch the in the face!

    A) I always find it amusing when a publication has to write a justification of a review only days old.

    B) Everyone in your office agrees that this game is bad? Well, that's just silly, considering the vast majority of reviewers gave it a positive review. You must have the least diverse and most bias staff of editors on the planet.

    C) Who cares?

here's a new idea.....its a game, anyone who thinks its something more is a idiot

    And one more thing.

Not saying that just because it was the intention makes it right, but Nintendo did say that part of this game was to explore Samus and her immaturity and how she evolved into the hunter she was in Fusion. And if what all you said was true, then it looks like the did a pretty good job doing it.

Not sure why people would be surprised. From what I've heard it has the same sort of plot I've seen in many examples of Japanese media. I guess they tried to inject too much "humanity" into the character and just overdid the whole "vulnerability" part of humanizing a character.

After watching the video, i'm still pretty jacked about getting this game and even though you said the entire g4 staff feels the same way as Abbie, it dosn't add to the....credibility(Is that the word I'm looking for?) of her review because if you liked, I doubt you would come on here and say "Abbie's wrong! Abbie's wrong! The game is EFFING AWESOME!!) See what I mean? There are some parts I agree with, like when she first see Ridley, but overall, the Talkabout was very harsh.

P.S. In the video review when Morgan was talking about how the "Auto-aim doesn't work" Samus was shooting at a wall, then at nothing, then at a wall again. If you were playing the game like that, well then no wonder the auto-aim doesn't work.

Don't know why i'm even bothering putting a comment up here, everyone is already stuck on either side of this coin anyways, but all I have to say is for someone to take such a strong stance aggainst something they truly loved and anticipated for so long, that really says it all.

Basically if you're an already existing fan then this one is going to let you down in some way, probably more ways than one.

But for someone realitively new to the series, with not much preconceived knowledge, then it would probably be a homerun I guess, and by the sound of things it's that group they seemed to be going after with this one.
