God damn you GW2 fans are butthurt. First time around there's no coverage, you guys all whine. Then he crams in a good amount of coverage this round, you still find a way to whine.
While I have been excited to see where GW2 will actually end up, and look forward to playing it, I do doubt that it is this glorified gem or "WoW-Killer" that I keep hearing. Will it be a good game? I really can't see how it couldn't, is it the only worthwhile mmo out there? Not at all.

Where did us guild wars 2 fanboys come from you ask? We have been lurking in the shadows waiting for a game that brings back the RPG to the MMO instead of the MMO to the RPG. Guild Wars 2 is made by devs that did their homework and discover what gamers wanted out of an MMORPG, by surfing suggestion threads for various games.
Personally I like Guild Wars 2 getting all this "meh and skepticism" because that means I won't have to worry about elitist or 13 year old immature brats ruining the immersion for their 15 secs of fame on youtube.
I would rather this go under the radar. And BTW Casey, Guild Wars 2 is releasing Q3 next year AT THE LATEST. They plan to have a Q1 beta invites. Perhaps you should find out what is done.
The game world was finished last games come. They spent this year populating it and bringing it to life. Beginning in December they will turn focus to PvP content. Do your homework. Because you are going to need a new game to support the Report once WoW kills itself.
For those that have NOT seen the gamescom footage.

I's funny because I was a die hard Blizzard Fan since 93'. WoW WAS so awesome. Until they realized they didn't have to produce entire Zones like SIlithus and dungeons like AQ, because players were willing to grind the same content over and over just to get loot. So in came the first test with the Dukes and the AQ "badges" used to trade in for better loot. Blizzard was a great company until they lost half of their team because they didn't like the corporate greed that was becoming the norm.
But as was said in the Lich King "No king rules forever". Talk about foreshadow.

Having playes Cata exstensively i can say the new talent changes are in fact a horrible dismal odiferous vile thing that threatens to ruin the game and perhaps bring a empire crashing around itself at the very least it is pretty bad but at least star wars is poised to rock out loud and take wows place thank you star wars

Can someone tell me where did all these Guildwars2 fanboys come from?

A Fifthly, FFXIV is going to suck... I hope he doesn't cover that terribad remake of FFXI again.
siegristrm
First off, he gave everyone a 30 second glimpse based off a German Trailer and info... give him a break. Secondly, he probably knows more about whats going on behind the scenes than you do (but sometimes not). Thirdly, he broadcasts more eloquently than you (1 reason being you probably don't broadcast). Fourthly, I've wanted an Elder Scrolls MMO since MMO's have come out. For that particular game, I think an offline version would be good too.

Uncle Casey, where's mah mailbag?!?!??! T_T

For those of you ignorant of GW 2(guild Wars 2) LOOK IT UP!!! (it's epic) I appreciate that the report mentioned GW 2, but considering that it is epic as balls, you guys on the report need to do a special preview or report of guild wars 2 especially since it did get the best mmo award at gamscon (which for those of you who don't know, that includes AION, Starwars the old repubic, WoW cataclysm) so you know it has to be legit. If i said anything incorrect, please slap me for my ignorance.

By the way the new Star Wars the Clones Wars adventures title... Yeah Sony DROPPED the ball big time with this one. No camera control. Its a side scrolling nightmare of a game. Doesn't even include a jump feature. Everything is instanced and the graphics are slightly better than a 'sub par' ps2 game it Just looks bad. Why Lucas Arts gets involved with Sony on any video game is beyond me as they never make any good decisions.
No star wars game should ever be made where you can one click an npc and become a Jedi, even if the game is pointed at the tween market. Furthermore no star wars title should EVER be side scrolling.

Guild Wars 2 is going to be the next big thing. This channel has lost all my respect for ignoring this coming tsunami of a title. This game will be the end of World of Warcraft, and it will be the new standard for every1 else to line up behind and follow. Free to play and great quality is something this channel should be praising, the fact that you are trying ur best to pretend the game isnt even being made seems like favoritism. World of Warcraft is cartoonish. This channel is going to be left hugging onto World of Warcraft while the rest of us play a real game.

Nothing here was really "news".

Wow, a lot of anger in the comments section. It costs you nothing to be polite.... I'm waiting for swtor but gw2 does sound like they are putting a lot of thought and time into it which will hopefully translate into a great game. Even when it fails,. I do like seeing innovation in the games industry. Far too many cookie cutter games out there as it is.

Ok guys, let's clarify some things about Guild Wars 2:
- the game is being published by NCsoft and developed by ArenaNet. we always credit the publisher, but will be sure to give ArenaNet some love
- we called the events system, as you called it, public quests because that's the only frame of reference that's already been established in other MMOs that's in any way similar
- yes, grind won't be as prominent, but whether it feels like a grind or not, it's part of the genre
- our comments on "personal story" were taken directly from someone who played the demo at Gamescom. the Madlibs-like backstory questionnaire determined things about your character, like if you were a serf raised in the streets, or a noble from high society
- while the backstory doesn't have the largest part to do with your appearance, it has some effect. and when it comes to changing the "play style", sure it's not going to determine how you play the game, but it will effect what you can play (from what we were told) i.e. how NPCs perceive you, what quests might be available to you, etc.
so Naorojiif, TsubasaaMidori, and Squall2343, if you still think we got it wrong, i apologize. we did our best to cram a lot of impressions from the demo into a short period of time and might have swapped out some words and phrases for the sake of time that you feel were errors. we ARE very excited about the game, but we were not the ones sent to Germany to play it so had to go off someone else's account of the game. we WANT to give Guild Wars 2 as much positive coverage as possible.

I can not tell you how much I miss playing GW. Been retiring for quite some time. I'm very excited for this. Pre-Order it is.

I have never played an MMO, but the trailer for GW2 has me interested.
