Feedback -- Madden 11 & QuakeCon Edition
On this week's Feedback, Adam Sessler, Abbie Heppe, Mike D'Alonzo, and Dana Vinson come together to discuss QuakeCon, the Woodstock of gaming. They also have a delightful chat about Madden NFL 11, which is our game of the week.

Why am I not surprised they danced around the fact that Madden online is horrendous. First more and more players are just picking a team with a strong running back cause they can break 8 tackles and run for 70+ yards a hand-off on every possession. If its not that its the constant "nano blitz" which seems to becoming more and more the norm online and finally, why so little talk about how in an match especially a ranked match when a player quits, you get nothing, no points, no win, no coins, no gratification. All you end up getting is 30+ minutes of your life wasted for notta.

I really like this years Madden but the only thing I absolutely hate about it is the Be a Superstar mode. They have severely cut back on it, its not even fun anymore. Its just "make your guy, do an IQ test and play football" not like before where it was "make your guy, meet your mentor, sign an agent, do an IQ test, do a couple more interviews,go to the Combine, get a tattoo if you want, get a haircut if you want, then play football or chill in your apartment if you want" The first year Superstar came out (Madden 08, I think?) was the best version of it. I hope they rejuvenate it to the way it was.

Arx Fatalis was a really fun game. Come to think of it: You had to make your own food, cast spells, forge stuff with mouse gestures. It would actually make a really awesome PS Move game. hmmm

It is never not Metal's time. It's just not the time that it's mainstream.

a RTS football game, interesting. I am a big RTS fan... but not so much of a football fan. Are the Cowboys good this year?

I like how the obscure reference counter showed it as 4 twice. Though, one should be taken back for the Oliver Twist, that's not so obscure (as opposed to the nice touch on Bill Hicks last week). Great show as always though. Have Dana and Mike back more often. Also, I like how everyone in the blurb for this feedback has been "hammer"ed. In fact, let's see that Feedback... The "OMG I'm sooooo wasted" edition, I bet Adam's obscure references would skyrocket exponentially. haha
