this looks awesome, i never got to play the 1st one and the only other mmo i played was runescape years ago, this beats the hell out of thatt. this wiill be the 1st computer game i ever bought in my life.
this game already looks like it stomps any other mmo into the ground, and they havent even released all the information yet.
this game is going to own all even the so hype up Star wars mmo
I have been looking forward to this game forever and it is slowly turning into another "I Am Alive" to the point that every time we get new information on it. It looks better and better but still no release date!
my whole perception on mmo's has really changed. i am definitely picking up star wars the old republic, but i might also get this one. can't wait to see more.
i don't know how you centre the world around the player in an mmo, but i am very interested in finding out
guild wars 1 was the first MMO i really got into before WoW and this trailer just brings back so many memories of the game and all the amazing times i had playing it. I don't know who coined the term WoW killer but this game isn't going to kill my interest in WoW but I will definitely check this out. and the no monthly fees is just icing on the cake.
Looks Awesome. Way to go NCSoft. This may very well be the WoW killer, or at the very least a serious competitor.
remember, guild wars may be free, but to stay that way the gameplay is instanced. this means no visible people outside of those in your group.
I don't believe they screwed up GW1 either. GW1 was different in many ways than most MMO's and thats what they wanted. And know with GW2 they want to take it a step further, making GW2 the first true MMORPG. Cause we all know that WoW, EVE, and other so called 'MMORPGs' aren't true to their name. GW2 is going to have a major effect on the MMO gaming world because its done completely differently than any every MMO. Now I'm not saying that GW2 is going to be the best, but it certainly will make people rethink what a MMO is. @zerozen -This is Guild Wars we're talking about, of course there is no subscription fee. And there never will be, go check out their site http://www.guildwars2.com/ All the info you need.
here's my question: will it be a subscription game or will it be like the first one were you buy it, then not have to pay more to keep playing it? that will be the make or break deal because i am already planning to subscribe to The Old Republic and i don't want two subscriptions
Krypto, there were indeed gameplay scenes in this video. They had elementalist videos up for some of their spells a couple months ago and those were in there. Also I dono if you played the first one but the cutscenes looked excactly like regular gameplay, aside from the pre-rendered stuff that you could view off the disc. So every thing you see in this video as far as i'm concerned is gameplay. But yea go look up the ele vids either on the gw site or on here. One more reason to get a job this fall. :D gw2=happy face for ZoMbIEx23x
omg with halo reach and call of duty and now guild wars 2 im going to have no life for a very looooong time oh and when is it realesing??
did they really screw it up for the first one?? I mean I played the first one with all their expansions besides one. The only problem I had with it is that I felt like I did not impact the world at all no matter what I did. I just watched the video and whatever they said. I want to effect the world and feel like a hero not beat the game's story mode and max out my level and feel like I am just another common character.
Wow these are excellent cutscenes. Wanna show me the gameplay?
GW2 looks epic! lets hope they don't screw it up like they did with their first one.
I'm sorry but when this comes out, I don't think any other game will be able to touch it..
Looks so good, can't wait to play this MMO and Star Wars: The Old Republic.
