Regarding to this week's conversation about 2D platformers i realized why most 2d platformers dont have strong stories. In order for a game to have a story there must be the intial goal or problem and this must be solved by using the game mechanics. And this is why i believe that 2d platformers can't have strong storylines, because 2d platforming in most situations can't fix a problem or acheive a goal effectively which ultimatly results in a porr storyline.

These people need to come out and say that they are not posting feedback to itunes anymore or that there's just an issue... they need to at least address what's going on.

The problem with SC2 is that the fantastic game is being overshadowed by the absurd anti-piracy "feature" of battle.net. If I have no internet connection, I can't even play the single player game if it's time to revalidate my game. No LAN support either is rather disappointing too.

Hey, I loved those Spider-Man cartoons too, Sess. My fave was the one where the Rhino built his powerful doomsday weapon that just looked like a regular box and Spidey defeated him by shooting a can of pepper onto his horn and Rhino started sneezing, causing the ceiling of the underwater cave they were fighting in to collapse on him and then Spidey trapped him by baking the mud with "Instant Heat" Hee-hee. You remember that one?

Guys - what is happening with the iTunes posting of this program? Its clearly not a technical issue as the other programs (Sessler's Soapbox, MMO Report, Fresh Ink) are being upped on schedule.
It would seem that Patrick and the other guys that left were the ones responsible for making this happen and nobody else can be bothered to it.
It also seems that again the guys that left were the only ones to bother reading or responding on these forums.
Just a 1-2 sentence response to say yep there are issues and we are on it would have been better than the total silence we have had up to now.
A little respect guys for the people that support your show....

These jokers' coverage of SC2 is pathetic. They haven't even mentioned the impact its already had on the American pro-gaming scene. The beta of this game has included many (16-18?) community-hosted tournaments with thousand+ dollar amount rewards.

Go look at HuskyStarcraft's and HDStarcraft's YouTube subscription numbers, its sick. This game is taking the underground by storm and these suckers are completely unaware. Blair Herter did some absolutely horrid joke skit about SC2 tips and said some very racist things about having a Korean player, its almost like they think America won't take pro-gaming seriously. G4 is my primary gaming news medium but on this specific game their coverage is nothing but lackluster. Even Morgan liking it makes me cringe... she's G4's self-proclaimed RTS subject matter... person, I can't even bring myself to say expert. Their expert on this is some half-hobo who plays it on his lunch break but hasn't even bought it yet!? What, did he place Silver!? I bet they're all proud of him.

i can understand not having a regular rts expert for the few rts games that come out; but i think it would of been nice to have a little more prestigious a guest of the sc2 release. There are a lot of starcraft streamers and commentators in your area that are knowledgeable about the game and are quite entertaining to listen to and/or watch when they are talking about the game.

Honestly, what's up with not putting feedbacks into the podcast anymore? Some of us aren't fans of watching things in a tiny, tiny window. Hook it up already!?! (please)

On the subject of the units that were omitted from multiplayer play, especially the medic, it seems like the reason these units are so powerful in single-player is because the AI is lacking. I can't even count the number of times in single-player that the computer could have easily wiped out my attack by focusing on the support units first, and yet they just continue to exchange fire with the units that are actually doing damage.

The mission where Tychus steals and pilots the Odin walker would have been a gaint pain in the butt if the computer ever bothered to kill the two SCVs I followed along with just to repair him all the time. Human opponents would have the reasoning power to effectively counter strategies that rely heavily on support units, so I'm not sure it was necessary to completely remove those units.

i like the observation that pc games typically have a longer life... it seems true in my experience too... i think thats why some people are upset about splitting sc2 into 3 parts. people want to play SC2 for 5 years; and what is it going to cost them? $180, thats a bit steep and i don't think you can say its 3 different games. you are going to spend years playing sc2 so you aren't getting more playtime for $180, you're getting the same play time, they're just spending between 3 to 4 times as much as pc gamers are used to spending for that play time. I've been playing tf2 for years and it cost me $20... we're talking about 1/9th the cost of what sc2 is going to cost me and sc2 won't be giving any more hours of playtime.
