Abbie's dead sexy when she drops those censor bombs. I half-wish they'd do it just to see her on fire, but I do whole agree that the idea of that is complete bull----.

Already paying for the console, the "more than half a hundred dollars worth of game" -AND- alREADY paying for the ability to even -play- your games online with your own connection, you again are paying for...

They'd never get away with that, especially not with broke as hell gameplay. I hope this discussion gets some attention from those who need to see it.

OH MY GOD. I do hope they add a subscription to CoD games so my friends will play something besides it or go outside once in awhile. I swear my friends hate the game so much but they keep playing. We even got rid of it for Bad Company 2 and 2 of my freinds went out and rebought it. I have to kick them from the Live party most of the time cause all you hear is them B!tching. If a subscription plan is added i would be glad. might even bring world peace lol

Oh thats such horse blank a subscrpsition service anyone who pays $15 a month for MW2 has no life and Activision could suck my blank because i'll be playing a good creative instead of their new game MW10 which will be the exact same as MW2 except it cost like $60 a month with $30 map packs.

    blank you Activision!!!!!!!!!!!

You guys should get Pachter as a guest.
I would love to see Adam and Pach go at it over....well....pretty much anything.

Oh, yeah, and since Pachter is sooo adamant over pay for play in multi-player games, and is actually kinda championing for it, it would be very interesting to witness the discourse between Pach and Abbie.

Bizarre has done a shooter before, they released The Club a couple of years ago.

Also the last Bond game was released in Nov. 08, Quantum of Solice, by Treyarch. It was a first-person shooter with a third-person cover mechanic made on the CoD 4 engine (so yes it would be possible to have a cover mechanic in CoD.)

It was actually quite a good/decent game. It had story elements from both Casino Royale and Quantum in its single-player campaign, plus a decent competitive multiplayer experience.

Haven't gotten to that part of the show yet, but Activision would commit financial suicide IMO if they turn CoD subscription based because they couldn't control the updates needed like Blizzard does with WoW as ALL patches on the console have to go through MS/Sony first, and even then things get screwed up (see the 1.04 Dragon Age 360 patch that was released and pulled because it was messed up this week.)

Also why would people pay for both Live and CoD when there are Halo and Battlefield to play that don't charge a subscription? Not to mention Gears 3 and the influx of shooters coming out in the next year.

I love how angry Abbie got over the whole CoD subscription..never saw her angry on the show until that came up. But totally with her on that one... So many wannabe the next CoD out there, that they can't get away with a subscriptionmodel without losing 3/4 of all online players is my bet.

And yeah Patrick, Sterling and Andrew all left to work for EGM...

if they start pay to play, people are going to pick one multiplayer game. new IPs will need to be free to stand a chance. would anyone have given borderlands a chance?

for the larger games, a monthly fee would discourage longevity and end up increasing used game sales. sounds like a loose-loose-loose to me.

If Activision leads the subscription fee charge and everyone else follows suit, Ninteno will be the exception. They'll release an HD console complete with an updated WFC that is up to snuff with XBL and PSN without a subscription fee. From there, gamers can simply do the math.

If these gaming companies are smart, they won't sabotage themselves like that. Besides, monopoly is never a good thing for consumers.

I don't get how they can get some fired up about subscription fees and some how think they aren't all that likely to happen while at the same time actively supporting x-box live. When live was first talked about I figured it would fail. I'm a PC gamer and I had a dreamcast. I had been playing games online FOR FREE long before those greedy bastards at microsoft ever had an inkling about charging people to play online. No way people fall for that I thought to myself. Look how that turned out.

If a company holds its hand out for MORE money on something like Call of Duty multiplayer but they're going to rely on player hosting then they can take that hand, cover it in kerosene, light it on fire, and shove it up their ass.

When you talk about TEXAS please exclude HOUSTON we're the biggest city and we're mostly all democrat. P.s. Rick Perry is very bad at his job. I have no idea why even the Republican still vote him in probably name recognition.

Had a bit of desync starting around the 28min mark that it didn't recover from, but besides that probably one of the better feedback's in awhile, the thought of a crippled skittles due to lack of hd space haha.. priceless.

It is all just a matter of characterization. Some comic book characters can't be made into a good video game, no matter how hard the developers try. And I agree that it shouldn't be done just to fill somebody's pockets. If a comic book is to be turned into a video game, the developers should all be people that appreciate the character(s).

So...I'm guessing Abbie doesn't like the idea of online subscriptions? XD

O! Ok, that was genuinely funny, to think that wii jokes can still catch me off guard: Adam, "I'm still rather amazed about how much storage space was on my Wii."

I laughed so hard, I almost spat my cereal.

Great show. Blair B was an excellent addition to the panel. Last week's camera work was horrible. Thank god this week the camera work is back to normal!!
