Since I am part of the crew for 2 burlesque troupes and my best friend is a NJ/NYC based Burly girl (she was in the women of the web 2 contest actually Lily Stitches); I know what it takes for Devil's Playground to put a show like this together and I am very pleased that they are bringing interest in the art to geek culture.

There are other groups who specialize in this type of show as well, Cosplay Burlesque (touring group who are next performing at Otakon has been around for 3 years now) and Epic Win Burlesque (based in NYC and most recently performed a Ghostbusters themed show I believe they've been around for a year). If you like St*r Warz Burlesque it'd be worth it to search youtube for videos from CB, things like Nurse Joy and Officer Jenny, Link, Minmei from Robotech and a ton of other stuff is around as well. EW did a Batman themed show as well as the Ghostbusters one so you can search those out as well. Hopefully it'll encourage more nerd girls into the scene and we'll see more shows like these come along.

Certainly different, but I don't think this belongs on g4's website, especially not on the front page. Really not approperate for the majority of younger users here, and a couple of the comments so far prove that the age block is ineffective.

Great now I sound like an old prude, thanks g4 haha.

Yes, the one thing Star Wars was missing was a re-imagining by former incest victims who dropped out of the 9th grade. I know I'm trolling, and I know Star Wars is for everyone ... But strippers are gross.

Why do they call this Burlesque? Call it what it really is.....skanks with tatoos who lost their virginity at 8 years and blowing guys in the parking lot after the show for $20.

I've had the chance to see the Show only once. It's a memorable, albiet strange, experience to say the least. Not all the depictions/lady performers are fall out of your chair gorgeous, but thier dedication to the moment is admirable and pretty fun to watch. Despite starting out as a Gag, the whole thing has really come a long way. Cudos to Cruz for not only getting the ball rolling on this but for turning it into such a success; oh, and for being, hands down (no pun intended) the hottest perfomer on the Stage. Very much worth seeing once, if only to say, "You've seen it."
