Feedback -- EVO 2010 & Crackdown 2 Edition
Somehow, we summoned enough will power to take a break from orb collecting to discuss the EVO 2010 championships, Blizzard sparking a mini nerd-mageddon, and Tim Schafer colorfully jabbing Bobby Kotick.

Too bad you guys couldn't include the Dragon Age 2 talk on this Feedback. But then again you guys didn't paid much attention to the original and also, DA is a complex gameand takes dozen hours to finish, therefore, it's something Patrick wouldn't be into. So you guys were joking regading DA talk, right?

Good think Abbie corrected herself that she wasn't calling being Bungie dumb. Otherwise, oh boy, the Halo fans will make some nasty comments, not that Abbie pays much attention to those comments. Ha!

I never heard of a Feedback, where the group talks mostly on one positive thing on a game. It's true, orbs is the virtual crack.

I love feedback, really. I think this is probably one of the best web shows on this site, but what is with this camera work?

I don't understand why they find the need to zoom in on Matt's shoulder or Abbie's tattoo, and then show Patrick in this fuzzy lens only to focus it slowly. It almost nauseating at times.

There's no need for it, just keep the camera work simple and the game discussion intense.

I can understand what you guys are saying when it comes to split screen, but I LOVE split screen, i would pick a nice split screen game over an online game anyday, I was so happy to see that Borderlands had splitscreen and they put it together so well, but other than that i wish that more developers would put that in their games because besides that Halo, and Left 4 Dead, there isnt that many games that will utilize it, Crackdown was one that i really hoped would use it but i guess not. Most of my friends around me had awful experiences with Xbox and all moved over to ps3s, i love my 360 and will buy a ps3 to go along with my 360 so i do not have many online friends, but when they come over we do like to play games where we all can play ex rock band, halo thats about it.

I totally miss split screen multi player. I don't think its cheap to want it. Especially in racing games. I'm looking at you Dirt 2. I want to drift past my friends when they come over and have some time to kill not pass the remote back and forth thats bullshyt. Split screen co-op is great its how I played halo3 gears1,2 and resident evil5. There is no reason for Modern warfare not to have Co-op when they have those BS co-op missions, and useless split-screen death match. I enjoyed the split-screen online mode in halo3. It allowed you to bring a friend in who didn't own the game and didn't own it or have xbox live.
Granted split screen is not ideal for all games but I just would like to see it in there as an option. Mabye I'm being nostalgic for the n64 days.

Started off the show talking about the drugs and end the show talking about drinking hmmm. Sterling and Morgan look like giants compared to everyone else. Morgan looks cute as ever, and Abbie after watching EVERY hour of EVO and collecting every orb in Crackdown, I just want to let you know you don't have to prove anything to us just go outside, its summer see the sun once and a while.

I'm sorry guys, this epi was lame, so much off topic junk, and the end was abrupt. Please, have Morgan Webb back more often.

On the subject of split screen i couldn't agree more that when i want to play with friends i want it to be in the same tv but i like a bigger screen. So when it come to playing by myself online with ppl idk or give a crap about compared to just giving up a big portion of my tv screen to be with my friends on the same screen and having the experience of the co-op from like golden eye i would rather prefer co op but if there was a way to make the co op screens bigger i would praise the lords and invite friends over to play any co-op game.

It would be the sex if you guys could somehow cut the Dragon Age portion of your first shooting of this weeks feedback and post it somewhere. I would love to hear what you guys had to say on the topic.

You know I just really have to make a comment about the splitscreen issue you guys brought up. Occassionally you will have a game like MW2 that does have an element of split screen in the Spec Ops, but drops the ball in campaign and multiplayer. Me and my sister both really enjoy gaming together, but it seems like Halo and really only recreational games become our core of gaming *TOGETHER.* Games like MW2 mean me and her can not play online together at the same time, so we end up putting voice chat through the speakers and setting the mic up so we both can try to talk to our friends, even though only one of us is playing. The social aspect of multiplayer is being lost to the connection aspect of multiplayer more and more. Simply putting people together is getting good enough. When will developers realize how critical it is to bring other people not just to one lobby, but to one screen as well? Until I can get my dad to at least interact with the campaign, if not as a secondary character, but perhaps acting as an augmented reality for my character by highlighting targets for me in Call of Duty's campaign, then he will continue to fall asleep when I try to show him the White House blown to bits.

    awesome episode. I love freedback

My question: How do college students learn how to run a video game company. How to draw new fresh talent to your studios. How to create a franchise but also help make new Ip or even just publish a few games through out the years.
