Sorry Sony, but you can't compete with Nintendo. You've put up a vailiant effort, but it's not gonna happen.

Patrick, I'm with ya man. FU Sony... Background downloads should just be part of the PSN experience. Other than using it as a lure, there's no reason not to include it in the free service too. Tell you what would sell it or me... Include backwards compatability via software... For me, that would be a huge selling point. All the other stuff, nah. Abbie's right. XBL has already clinched the market on that. But if they could somehow include backwards compatability with a patch, I'd be all over it.

Oh, I have to say it. Abbie, I LOVE your dewdrop eyes. Very pretty in a closeup. :)

One 3d hd remake I'd buy from last gen or even before would be JetSet Radio or Jet Grind Radio. You have to admit those would be awsome in full hd w/ 3d. I know that JetSet has age really really well and is one I still play even now.

I hope y'all post the audio version later for the drive home--although if not maybe I'll actually watch this one instead of just listen to it. I don't know if I'm the only person who uses the audio version, but it is much appreciated and provides the one day a week I enjoy my long commute.. =)

I am a PS3 owner (the only console I have) and have not found Playstation Plus very appealing at all. I do not know if it will be worth it or not, but I do not understand why you guys do not stress that Playstation Plus is an OPTION and not a REQUIREMENT. People do not need to subscribe to it if they do not want to.

Man, I busted out laughing when you guys brought up the Tom Tom GPS voices. I just downloaded the Darth Vader voice to mine last week. I tell ya, there's nothing better than getting on the interstate and hearing James Earl Jones voice saying "Merge right to the darkside ... STAY IN FORMATION!!!...let the Force guide you".

On another note, I really hope Matt's prediction for new hardware announcements at next year's E3,(should Move or Kinect fail), is wrong. I'm not even going into all the reasons we do not need new hardware.

I might be the only person who'll say this, but I'm seriously thinking of buying a Move controller. Reason being...Killzone 3. I believe it to be presumptuous to assume someone with a Dual Shock 3 is just going to wipe the floor with someone using a motion controller. If Move turns out to be as precise as Sony claims, then a motion controller in the hands of an experienced player who has the controls down just maybe the most dangerous mofo in the room.

Playstation Plus could be worth the money depending on what games they offer for free. If they actually offer decent titles and not the crap no one has or wants it will definitely pay for itself. However, if you are a long term PS3 owner you probably already have all the games you want. So it just depends on who you are. I've only had my PS3 for a couple months so the free games are pretty intriguing to me. I'm going to keep an eye on it and see how it plays out for the first couple months and then decide if I might want to give it a try.

Oh and they were talking about XBL gold vs. silver members. My gold membership will be running out at the end of July and I really don't see myself renewing. At least not as this time. I'm more of a single player kind of person and the $50 just isn't worth it. I pretty much got the gold to use Netflix and for the "deals" of the week. Now I don't have Netflix and if I renew that I can just use my PS3 and I'm not even going to talk about how big of a joke the "deals" were over the past year.

    Anyway, another great Feedback!

I think that you guys have lost track of what PlayStation Plus is all about. For first party games and content, Sony doesn't have to spend a dime other than their internet bill to let people download games from their servers. When the average PS3 user buys something on PSN, they may only spend $30 per year on content, since disc-based content is still the primary source for said content.

If PS3 users buy into to PlayStation Plus, they get:
-1 Full PSN Title per month
    -1-2 minis per month
    -1 PS1 Classic per month
-Free Content such as themes, avatars and DLC

The buy-in incentive is the FREE content, but when users see the discounts that they get each month, their like, "dang I need to get this before they raise the price." When these users purchase this content at the DISCOUNTED rate, then Sony receives more money on top of the $50 buy-in, essentially doubling their profits. The average user however will not be aware of this.

Now, I did buy into PlayStation Plus, and for the most part, it is a very solid looking program and if users do not purchase any of the discounted items but do download everything that is free, then they will definitely get their moneys worth in content within the first 2-3 months, paying off their years subscription. I for one have received $17.96 worth of free content without spending a dime. This is where Sony intentionally took this Plus package.

Users get more content and Sony gets more money. This is the perfect "WIN-WIN" situation.

WHAAAAA? you guys don't like paying for things online?? like demos, facebook, twitter, or netflix?! I thought I was the only on here on my PC where I don't have to and games look better..and are actually 1080p and up and I buy them cheaper on a regular basis not to mention all sales steam have like the on going on right now where I bout RE5 for $12.50 for example. Oh and please no one say " but building a pc is too expensive!" cuz its not if you add up all the money you spent on the console, controllers, subscriptions and the on average extra $10 per game; you could have built a more than adequate pc.
