You know what this reminds me a lot of in concept? The Friday the 13th remake. Sounds crazy but think about it for a second, both series seem to have taken the first two or three installments of their franchises then picked out the best parts and cobbled them together into a homage to fans. Granted Silent Hill may not be going as far off into the deep end of remakes as Friday the 13th did but from what was in that trailer it certainly seems to be getting away from the more recent titles which isn't necessarily a bad thing. I just hope they do a far better job of reinvigorating the series than Jason did.
