I want my 3d done like the 3DS but in a way if some one else is looking on they will not get sick doing so.

I highly doubt that you'd have to worry about many companies going 3D as a gimmick. They recognize that the market of people who would actually get the game for 3D is small, almost diminutive. If even Adam himself won't have a 3D TV, how do they expect normal gamers to have it?

I'm glad you've changed your opinion on 3D a bit. At first I thought you were being, perhaps a bit too closed minded to it without giving it a real chance. 3D is really just the sprinkles on the ice cream. If your icecream sucks, nobody is gonna want sprinkles on it, as if that'd make it better, but if it's already good, then it's just another bonus to make you giddy with excitement.

3D isn't and shouldn't be driving entertainment, even though the sony press conference tried to convince us of it haha, because it really is a novel accessory. When you use it to further emerge yourself in a world you already enjoy, then it takes on a new property. It creates a foothold for your imagination to latch onto, to believe the world your being sucked into. It is taking down the wall between the screen and your eyes so you don't have to work to believe bullets are flying at you, your mind just does, and that makes a great game even better.

Nintendo seems like it's on the right track with glassesless 3d gaming, but normal 3d is a gimmick, and always will be.

Yeah, 3D is primarily an aesthetic change, but there is real potential for it to alter gameplay or for gameplay to start being built around actual 3-D as opposed to 3-D models presentd on 2-D monitors.

But I'm sticking with Adam Sessler's original stance on 3-D in gaming with the exception of the 3DS for now. Right now it's just to costly and too much of a novelty with no real practical application. The 3DS offers more than just shiny new 3-D. It offers shiny new 3-D without glasses on a portable device that will allow me to watch movies in 3-D without glasses and take pictures and view them in 3-D. It's a big step and, I think, the right one for 3-D at this point.

See... 3d isn't THAT bad. It's nice that you are willing to say "Ok, maybe I was a little too harsh" instead of just saying *in cranky old man voice* "That's what I said and that's the way it's always going to be with ol Sessler and the 3d hatred arrrrrrr!" I DO think that 3d will be great for platforming games (if they made them anymore) just because judging jump distances on platforms that are different shapes, sizes, and heights can really be difficult to judge unless you move the camera left and right a few times. And I love the original Banjo Kazooie, Rayman 2, and Mario 64. Stuff like that in 3d would really make for some precise 3d platforming for less frustrating misjudgments.

Great job this week. Watched all the E3 stuff on tv. Now get some well deserved rest. Peace.

I personally lost interest in Nintendo about a year ago. I must say that the 3-DS looks interesting. However, there's few cons that are holding me back from wanting to buy it.

    1. If there are any good games for it, how long can i play it without feeling sick?

    2. Is there going to be an option to just have a 3D "switch" persay, so for some people who can't be exposed to the awesomeness for long periods of time can keep playing?

And yes Adam, go take a very long well deserved nap ^_^

It's good to see you looking at this and making a less negative assessment. You guys have been dissing 3D on Feedback and isn't that just a little bit like giving a child a failing grade on his senior thesis while he's still too young to walk?
