They actually did work on ufc and ea.. but were limited do to license..of the brands .. and decided to do there own thing with this game.. can't wait to play it... I just don't wanna see it be compared to the other titles because that's not what they are really going for.. I hope the put out a really good demo .. because that and promoting the game is what sells.. ea promoted the game very well.. but the demo was trash ..and lost out on a lot.. and for big fighters making a difference .. yea it helps till you play it and find every body wants to play the same fighter over and over.. and stats for players are either highly over rated and underated.... for this game they said it has no effect.. as long as the game isn't like mortal kombat with all the crazy combos ..ill be buying it ..

I gotta agree with you on both points. Plus did you see the trailer for this a few weeks ago? Not something that makes me say 'I gotta buy this NOW'

So basically the early years of the UFC?

I don't see this doing very well for a couple reasons:
    1. Without any licenses to showcase fighters you're not going to have the financial backing to produce and promote the game to its fullest potential. I'm sure that the game will have a "create-a-player" feature, but it's the popular fighters that draw all the attention and in Sports video games, names mean everything! No Fedor or Brock Lesnar on the cover? No sale!

    2. Arcade style sports games are no where near as successful as simulation style. Case in point: NFL Blitz vs. Madden NFL. While neither UFC Undiputed or EA MMA are paramount examples of realism , they still have many realistic qualities. I haven't seen any gameplay footage of this game yet, but after hearing the guy above talk, what I am envisioning is a UFC/Mortal Kombat hybrid.
