u jumped the gun on this one.. it supports proper multi-tasking, if the app was written to take advantage of the multi-tasking API of the iOS 4..
updates for many apps are already on the app store supporting the feature.
u just launched an app that isn't yet updated to support background state saving.

MAN!!! AOTS has become the TMZ of tech. get you facts right kevin! I miss tech TV when it was real techies. Now you're just hollywood bandwagon riders!

kinda goes to show that kevin is pretty ignorant. It IS up to the developers to make their apps multitask compatible. want proof? get plants vs zombies, try the 'multitasking test' there, and smack yourself with that iphone kevin. P Vs. Z was updated the day the OS came out (yesterday) and i tried it myself cuz i was curious. and guess what, it worked! so thats two screw ups in the past week that the viewers have had to point out for u guys (new xbox 360 hdd, and OS4).

You are correct Gamelife1, it is up to the developer to update their apps for multitasking not apple. If Kevin actually did some research he would have known that. I guess he just likes talking out his ass.

If you look at the iOS4 page on the apple website they added a new fine print that says the applications have to be able to work on the iPhone 4 to work properly with multitasking. So once the apps all get updated and fixxed to work with the new software then the multitasking should be fine. I updated a few of my apps like Pandora, Angry Birds, and Plants vs Zombies since their updates were put out already and they worked perfectly with multitasking, Pandora was running while I was in Safari and Plants vs Zombies and the games pasued and let me switch between them without relaunching.

I'm actually and Android user not an iPhone user, so I may be wrong about this. But, I'm assuming the multitasking isn't working properly because the applications themselves need to be updated for this new feature. Being that this new update was just released its going to take some time before all the applications have been updated. I remember when I downloaded the leaked version of Froyo to my Nexus at first a lot of the applications didn't work with the new features. Although since they've been updated they work fine. This is most likely the same case. However, if its not and that is really all this new feature does, thats a total fail.
