I'm surprised there was absolutely no mention of Sorcery for Move. It was one of the few showcases that impressed me and really shows off the Move. While it still needs work, the control mechanics is a slap in the face to the glitchy Zelda presentation.

I don't understand what makes everyone happy. If its not whining about not delivering to the core audience, then its griping about giving us more of the same, or then griping how this new IP is just a re-hash or not inventive etc...

I actually appreciated the return of some classic franchises.

I like this higher production value feedback, but it felt too rushed to really match up with its normal state. It did quell my feedback fix so i cant complain to much, especially since another one is on the way soon.

Great show G4! I could really get use to this. My one piece of feedback would be that the show really needs to be an hour long to capture the same feel of the show online. With just a half hour with commercials theres not enough time to cover enough content thoroughly. Looking forward to all of the continued E3 coverage and the live show later tonight. Thanks!

i thought sony did the best job with their press conference. there were lots of funny moments and not too much of the move. nintendo was, as previously stated, just nostalgia. not that i didn't like nintendo, just that they have, efffectively, been releasing the same games for the past 20 years. much better than their last 2 E3s though. microsoft started off really good, but the kinect stuff sucked, really wasn't anything we havn't seen before.

overall though, pretty dissapointing E3, just another sequel stuffed E3. the only guys who announced anything really new were ubisoft.

The big Three have had their say and honestly between my friends and myself we are all in agreement that despite Nintendo once again riding on the nostalgia factor the 3DS and what it could mean for the future of gaming stole the show. Granted many of their core games were based on fan favorite franchises but this isn't anything new and really it is basically what other companies with name brand characters do all the time, see Disney with Mickey Mouse or for that matter Miley Cirus.

I think Valve will get a lot of traction out of working with Sony by including Steamworks. Honestly a lot of my hate for them has been how openly fanboy'ish some of their comments have been but if Portal 2 is everything we are hoping for then I could see a very quick turnaround in fan approval. Hell a great way to do it would be a release or patch for the PS3 version of the Orange Box, just remember Kevin Butler is also the V.P. of sharpening things...

Microsoft seems to be leaning a little too heavily on their core franchises and what Nat...Kinect could do without really backing it up. I know between my friends the only Kinect game that "sounded" appealing was the Star Wars one, then we all saw it. It just looks very disjointed even for a pre-alpha preview. In all honesty it almost seems like the jedi was green screened on to a background with droids and Darth Vader? WTF? Anyway for as much as people pick on Nintendo for mass producing nostalgia games Microsoft seems to be headed in that same direction though for the moment everything coming out is either finishing up a story or going into greater detail.

The biggest misstep during this E3 to me, aside from the ludicrously awful "PSP Marcus" add campaign, is the pricing and packaging of the Playstation Move. Now from what we saw demo'ed on stage most games seem to require a Move controller and the Nav controller yet the Nav controller is NOT in either the Move/PS Eye Bundle or PS3/Move bundle. That's a $30 cover charge to play a lot of games right off the bat. Now consider you want multiple players and each needs the same set up that's another $80 per person. Assuming an existing PS3 owner lacks any of the Move components their looking at $130 install fee and that's hoping none of the games require two Move controllers as has been seen in some of the montages.
Assuming that price point holds true Microsoft could easily price the Kinect at $100 and take the market with an intelligent add campaign that focuses on the Motion/Voice control especially now that there is a 250g/WiFi included version of the system. Sony just seems to have shot themselves in the foot, AGAIN, by overpricing their hardware.

Oh and I would be careful about ripping off Charlie Rose, he used to be a Mafia hit man. Fact.

Not one surprise from Nintendo,Sony, or Microsoft was a dissappointment. I was expecting them all to announce a new franchise and instead every one of them came out with sequels and even more sequels. Don't get me wrong the sequels they announced look great but only if your a fan of those games. If I had to pick a winner it would be Sony, they showed the most variety. If I had to pick the best game it would be Halo:Reach, amazing multi-player with what looks like maybe the best campaign yet.

Morgan's criticism was true, but unfair. Her criticism can be applied to every conference.

There was nothing for non-sony fans at the Sony conference. Sorcery looked like it was way too slow in pacing. So if you're not a Sony fan, what is there at their conference? Nothing, except for Valve. And Valve fans are probably playing their games on PC.

And lets not start with Microsoft. If your not a Halo or Gears fan (aka Microsoft fan/shooter fan) then what do you have? Kinect demo was horribly boring and uninteresting. It just showed that Kinect is not for current install base.

You can say the same thing for Nintendo. The only thing a non-nintendo fan got was 3DS games-> Metal Gear, Resident Evil, and DJ Hero. They weren't even shown, just announced.

No conference had any new franchises announced that were not specifically casual centric All of the games were sequels of existing franchises.. So what does that mean? That means if you were not a fan of the company, there was nothing for you at their conference.

Gamestop has priced Kinect at $150, the price was leaked right after the announcement at the conference. I personally don't think motion control is the future of games, I just see it as a good change in the industry for the time being, but nothing permanent. Then again I am a hardcore gamer, and have no interest in motion control in the first place. I'm also very happy to see Feedback covering E3! You guys are awesome, everyone at G4 keep it up!
