E3 2010 Sony Press Conference

The Sony press conference from E3 2010 gave us a look at the Sony stable of products, including PlayStation Move, 3D gaming, and a slew of games like Twisted Metal, Killzone 3, LittleBigPlanet 2, and Portal 2 for the PS3.

The game publisher/developer presentations were much more interesting than both ps3/xbox events put together.
Overall I found this presentation and stage pressence pretty boring, forced myself to finish watching it. Nothing new or anything to get excited about either, was basically just one long commercial for stuff we already knew about.
Doesn't look like Sony will be getting any money from me this year either.

its sad that g4tv is highly prasing sony. why does sony keep bringing up that their mu is good. their just a ripp off of the wii. originality right. and as far as their exclusives well are made of their own studios with the exception of one or two other studios. they have a zelda copy, wii stick. not a happy fan.

All this is following the tech of the Wii controllers. No real improvements. Anything to sell product.

This is probably the worst Press Conferences between Microsoft, Nintendo & this one...a shame that they didn't really show no Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep ceverage, no real Marvel VS Capcom 3 coverage & also sadly no real PSP coverage all which I was looking forward to...on top of that, the ending was the best part & Nintendo & Microsoft already blew that away by now, guess Sony was taking a break from competition this year seeing as that is the only real explaination for this...

i thought Sony was going down hill for releasing a "copy" of the Wii... then.. DAMN did they slp me in the face when they announce Twisted Metal! good job guys.. Very very good job.. way to beat Microsoft..

Wow the xbox kinect is complete crap, total rip off of the eye toy. MS can't think of anything new can they. They can't even add Blu Ray to there slim console.

I think the PS3 Go (or what ever its called) is a rip off of the Wii MS controller.

rah997, Sony had the whole "camera" gameplay style made before the first Xbox ever came out.
Secondly, from what I see, the PS3 motion sensor gaming is much, much, MUCH better then the fail on the wii. Have the crap on the wii with motion sensors is just a simulation of what a six axis control does.
As an offtopic note, only a bit into video, there better be something about a Resistance 3 in there.

@eortega-The Kinect was never fully marketed as just a gaming peripheral. Despite the fact that Playstation had the Eye toy, no one here is admitting to the fact that the Eye Toy was complete and total crap. In fact Playstation is totally teabagging anyone who goes out and buy the Move. It's ancient technology that they revamped and added a motion controller to it. With the Kinect, not only can you play games, but you can also control your entire Xbox with it. You don't have to go out and buy an extra controller, because we all know we need more of those in our homes. Neither is Xbox nickel and diming people with all of these bundles like Playstation. You buy one device, that's it. We all can get into the debate of which console is better until our eyes changes colors, but no fanboy can deny how the kinect is going to change the way people not only game but use electronics all together. I willing to be we will see some sort of hands free motion control setup for TV's, Blu-Ray, Home Electronics, and even your precious PS3 or Wii will be migrating towards the hands free market pretty soon. Sony had some good announcements in their conference, Killzone 3, Twisted Metal, and GT5. But let's face it we all know that move is crap!!

this press conference is sad, sony is obviously trying to duplicate the Wii experience withe the one hand wand. there not even doing well in handheld sales. Nintendo is. even Nint. has 3D now. and microsft. has no controller at all. their next move should be: realistic graphics, like real life. they pushed graphics with the ps1 ps2, then boom, price increase. that killed em

Why did they spend so much on 3d gaming? Who even owns a $3000 3d tv? Nintendo will just bring it in a smaller package and actually make it affordable
