I am not sure if this was mentioned yet, but Carter Hall is Hawkman.
Haha Patrick's horse story was hilarious. God one of the funniest feedbacks yetI liked the horse controls but sometimes I wish I had more of a Shadow of the Colossus control style for the horse. Meh just my personal input.
Love Red Dead. Best game I've played in years. Far better than GTA IV. Did not enjoy the ending however. I've heard all the arguments for why it was a great ending and i do not deny it's elegance and power. However, I still did not like it. After 40+ hours of running, chasing, shooting, fetching, and generally being treated like crap, I get shot like a dog in front of my barn? And the conclusion to "Remember My Family" was not satisfying at all. But this is just my opinion. i still acknowledge that it is a very well done ending and would be great for a movie but this wasn'1 a movie. Still, what a fantastic game. I didn't get the resolution I had hoped for but I can't deny how fun it was to get to the eventual one. Also, best way I've found to melee the bear is to pump a few rounds into it's legs. Then run up and knife it.
where's Demons Crest, Baldurs Gate 3, or a new Burnout ? come on already !!!
I know there were people who have yet to finish the game so I will hold all commentary about that aside from the fact that I loved every poetic second of it.What I wanted to bring up was Act 2 and Mexico. Mexico served as a very important piece of the game in my mind. While America was becoming more civilized and the lines where very clear over what was Law and what was Crime, Mexico at the time had a much more loose government that was changing just as fast as the locals gang's changed. Even in Mexico the law felt just a bad if not worse then the gangs. The reason this was significant was setting up a very black and white contrast between acts 2 and 3. To really drive home that progression of judgment to chaos then the reestablishment of order. Now I realize I might be over analyzing this, but these are all excellent story elements that show real compassion for the world and all of its inhabits.@Patrick Klepek :: Did you really not like any of the story in Mexico? I will agree with you that I felt toyed with while working for the "Mexican Government" but Landon Ricketts was really a character that had a lot of potential. Serving as a icon of early American Western settlements as well as a relic to illustrate legends turning into folklore while safe guarding a persons memory long after they are deceased/missing. John treating him like a childhood hero was evidence to support this claim as well as the Mexican people turning to Ricketts(an ex-bandit like John) for help in world torn in chaos. To be honest out off all the potential Rockstar has for writing episodic add on material for RDR, I really hope one of them will focus on Landon Ricketts and his exile to Mexico. Or even a young Landon Ricketts from the mid 1890's.
I thought garnett was awesome on this. he adds a nice level of charisma. i like when feedback has special guests like morgan and others
just to let you guys know..CARTERHALL..that user question name,is HAWK MAN'S (dc comics) real name..yes I am a comic nerd!
THIS is why I look forward to Wednesdays I love feedback. Is it just me or was this episode kind of dirty? (In a good, funny way)
"Used to play hockey", eh Abbie?Come back to the pond. We'll throw sticks in the middle to decide teams. Posts and crossbars.
I thought Niko was very likeable - at the same time though there was enough darkness to him that you didn't feel any disconnect when doing dickish things.I really liked the Stranger Quests, it seemed like that's where Rockstar got to remind you that this is a game made by Rockstar. It also really fit in with the world and seemed to toy with some of the gothic mythos that can be found in the old west.I hope I'm not the only one that, whenever their horse died...they decided they might as well skin it. >_>
First off abbie you re my hero now for having played hockey. Also I want to see you camping and stabbing things in the face. Haha. And omg the story of you killing the eagle was fantastic!Second Adam you re completely awesome I ve always wanted to see kind of a gaming realization of fffpfpfppfpf that and poor dying balloons the saltine cracker of games excellent I ve always believed there is some danger for hope lolCan I get one of those song-full-of-discs?I liked the group of people this week as well. you should do a massive collaboration some time with like 8 people in feedback. twould be excellent.
I can't finish Red Dead, for some reason every time i try to do my next story mission during the load screen the game freezes. I didn't buy the game I got it through gamefly so I sent it back and got a new copy and it still did the same thing. I just got frustrated and sent it back. But the first time I killed my horse I was so sad lol.I had the horse you get from helping that woman capture a whole herd and one gets away, then she lets u keep it. And I had that horse for a while and started feeling a special connection to that horse. Then at one point I decided to go after a bounty on a guys head and by the time I got to his camp it was night time. So I got off my horse and snuck into the camp, raised some hell, hog tied my target, and started to loot some bodies. It was the first time I went after a bounty so I didn't know that his friends will come after you. So as I am looting bodies his friends start circling me on horses, I quickly hit the up directional button to call my horse to get me out of there, but it was taking him a while to get to me. So I was running around killing the enemies horses to try and stay alive and as my horse was charging to me I turned and didn't realize it was my horse coming at me, so as a reflex I immediately pulled the trigger and as I pulled the trigger he got close enough for me to look into his eyes, I realize it was my horse, and at that point I couldn't do anything but watch him get shot in the face and collapse on the ground.I was in shock and so sad that I had just murdered my horse who was only trying to get to me to get me out of the situation. I hit the up directional button again to call another horse and held on to false hope that my horse would be the one running to me. Of course it wasn't :'(
You see the problem with those relationships where the sex is the only good thing is that eventually that one good thing just goes stale. Sure, you can add as much foreplay as you want and a pair of fuzzy handcuffs but really who are you kidding? Once the romance is gone, if it was even there to begin with, and the desire to please the other person is a fizzled out bitter mote of what it once was there isn't any reason to go back...And oh yeah Red Dead Redemption is pretty amazing. However my one gripe about the game isn't about the game at all but the runaround with Mo Van Barr & downloading the soundtrack from the Rockstar site. Honestly that was more annoying than any of the quests in the game.
LOVED GARNETT IN FEEDBACK you need to have him on more!
My username is supposed to be Vicious Vertigo lol...
Abbie, you said you worked for Tips and Tricks? Lol I have an issue during E3 '06 when you covered some games for them. The one with the Shadowrun cover lol. Wow I had totally forgotten that.
I just so happened to be brushing my teeth when Abbie was talking about her run in with the bald eagle and ended up spitting pretty much everything that was in my mouth all over my pants, trying not to laugh. Thank you, Feedback. Only you would cause this sort of behavior in me.
hawks just won.as a leafs fan, we always look for next year...
Adam - I had to wiki it, but the name "Carter Hall" sounded familiar to me. That's the original alter-ego for Hawkman, one of my favorite characters when I was a kid...
