I just wanna say that feedback is the best thing to happen to Wednesdays in a long time. It's made me a fan of G4 again and I cant thank you guys enough for this great, great podcast.

i love feedback, watch it every week. but when will Red Dead Redemption be talked about in "Game Of The Week" this is the third feedback since the game came out on the 18th and still no mention. Just want a little discussion about my favorite game of all time!!

best ending so far is Shadow of the Colossus, wasn't even a boss battle per se if you don't include Colossi # 16 but that end sequence was very fitting and I didn't feel cheapened at all

Adam, you are correct. The reason why Beyond Good and Evil didn't sell well was the marketing or more specifically lack of. Ubisoft blame themselves for not aggressively pushing the game to consumers. Both BG&E and Psychonauts were games that deserved better commerical success. There's little chance that a sequel for Psychonauts will be made (sadly), so I'm just glad that BG&E2 is in development. Just hope this is the last cancellation rumors we hear about the game.

One thing I would like to add to the question of the week (that I never saw posted) about what makes a good ending is that I hate final boss battles that involve only giant monsters.
Too me, the best ending to a game thus far has been HL2:EP2. The use of a unique weapon combo, unused and thus fresh, with Patrick's idea of having waves and big monsters (hunters escorting Striders) plus having to run/drive from one place to another made for one of the most challenging and rewarding 'boss battles' in any game I've played in 25 years. On top of that, you are then rewarded with an extended narrative section that acknowledges the enormity of your achievement. I'll admit the last few minutes rip the rug out from under you, one of the most emotional events in my gaming history, but that is to be expected, being the setup for a finale.
A YouTube series sums it up best, and I would suggest you watch it if you are a fan on the Half Life universe.

I saw the end of Max Pain. Just didn't know what the hell was going on

All i can say about the Max Payne movie is that it will confuse you as to why did i sit through this.

Great job guys. Can't wait for the RDR discussion next week. Have you guys seen the hits on YouTube for RDR;s "FARAWAY"? I think this was an epic moment for everyone including myself. Nothing so simple ever felt so awesome.

you get a feeling have accomplishment. Take devil may cry 1,3 end boss battles, hard but when you beat them it feels awesome. I think its when boss battles become insanely hard and unfair is that when we hate boss battles like 1 hit kills or you get to third stage of the boss form and dying sends you back to square 1 first stage boss form. Last thing I think is that why some people hate end boss battles is it also signifies the ending of the story of which if a game is great we dont want to see.

Wow, i can't believe you guys didn't know that 2p could pick up the coins. They mentioned that back in one of those interviews with myamoto, although it may have been a japanese interview.
Dramble
Dont worry, as a gargantuan-thumbed menace, I envy yours.

Poor Abbie and her stubby thumbs. Another great feedback, can't wait for the RDR talk next week.

I feel games should have hard boss battles at the end. In most games you ussually have the one main bad ass guy thats more powerful anyone and you have stop, if he becomes easy to kill then what the hell you have been fighting for againest all this time when at any second you could killed outright. The idea for hard boss battles is that your not invicible and you have to put your gaming skills to the limit to defeat someone equal or more powerful than you, when you do that
