yey mogran web joined but onward. um about the ending of games that is so true like at the end of any sonic game y can't you be super sonic during the game. in all onimusha titles y can't you be that super onimusha just for fun so i an thinking it has to do with story and y in most nintendo games the end never happened ig the ledgend of zelda when u have that feirce deity mask tg for game shark it made a lot of my games replayable. and to me super mario galaxy and most nintendo titles always have the best graphics but it is true about that sd tv thing i didn't play super mario galxy 1 nor 2 but i recently got new super mario bros wii and i think that i could have beaten it with in the same day i got it i kinda choose not to casue it was the only game i got since im putting off buying a new ps3 after e3. i guess i want to see whats going to be different about the playstaion 3 bundles and y is it so hard to get the 250 gb ps3

Speaking of Paper Mario, I really want a new Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars. You know, the SNES game. I have such huge appreciation for Chrono Trigger and Mario RPG on the SNES. Give me another traditional Mario RPG. It was fun, had characters and a world I liked to be in, and also wasn't as hard or intricate as other RPG's of that area. Those were all the things that made it great; It was an RPG you could casually play that wasn't a casual RPG.
I'm actually Super Interested in Max Payne 3. The series has massive nostalgia for me and a few close friends. Though I am worried that it's not Remedy doing this game.
Yes Morgan. I love Mario and it is a great game but I just seems like the same game over and over again.
I think you may be giving kids too much credit.My favorite game as a kid was Twisted Metal 2. I rarely got past the third level (Paris) and yet I loved that game a lot. Same thing with Crash 2, it was a challenge to get past the 'chased by a ball' level but I liked the game, although now I can beat that level with no problems.So I think it has more to do with tolerating repetition
I say again, MGS4 is my favorite ending thus far. About the one time use code thing though, I'm fine with them to a certain extent. Blocking multi-player and stuff like that is stupid. Because then what about people who rent the game and stuff like that. That doesn't make it fair. It almost makes renting a game useless. But that's just me.

I'm really surprised that Morgan doesn't like SMG2. But to say that it's too cartoony... it's like saying that the sun is too bright or that Mario's red hat is too red. It is what it is. I really haven't touched my wii (uh... that didn't sound good) since TvC came out, but I have to admit that this game has been getting more playtime than Red Dead Redemption. I think I'm just a bit satiated with all those shooting games right now. SMG2 trully is pure gaming bliss. It really rekindled that feeling I got when I first played Super Mario Bro on the NES.Love the show though. Keep it up.

I think that some games need a boss battle towards the end, but that mostly depends on the story. If througout the game there was some badass guy who you really wanted to fight, you need to fight him. For games like Gears of War 2, that last part was just random and unnecessary. They should have let you feel badass on the Brumak when you're killing everyone then ended it, not made you have to blow it up. If they do made you have a boss fight, I want it to be a moderate challenge but not too easy or so difficult that instead of being happy with the game, you're thinking, "Thank God thats finally over"

Let me just say Ive watched Morgan since her "Windows Tips of the Day", and I still don't get her.I understand she has a large fan base, so her appearance here will probably be welcome. Still, I enjoyed Feedback for being, so far, the only extended exposure to Adam available without having to deal with Morgan. and I loved that. I hope that fact remains.I'd also like to reflect that her personal bias against Mario Galaxy is bizarre, and I'd like to echo previous comments saying that her statement on Mario not being "for everyone" is strange at best. I very much love the game, and even *I* have a laundry list of issues with it. The fundamentals of its game design are hardly one of my complaints. Whether the game is Tetris or Mass Effect, few, if any games are designed with as much consideration for the potential player as Mario Galaxy is. Bar none. I can beat some of the hardest gaming challenges in any genre over any console, and even I can see the value of the background guidance without being personally offended as Morgan so adamantly was was here.In terms of endings to games, I think a great question. When constructing a basic story arc, the most fundamental of implementations is what is called the "falling action". This occurs right after the climax of the story, obviously. In books and movies, generally we all experience this falling action without even realizing it. Yet in video games, it is by far the norm for the game to end RIGHT at the climax. In fact, try and name games that provide this sense of tying things together after the grand boss fight - I bet you'd be hard pressed to do so. Whether this is typified by game development archetypes or what have you, I think it sheds some insight on why many game endings are as anti-climactic as they are supposed to be climactic.
