they shoud make the protos a little weaker because one zealot can kill like 3 zerglings and 2 marines. another rush that sucks is when the player do a cannon rush with the protos but i love this game :)

There has been several reports of StarCraft II having serious problems with some Nvidia video cards, notably the Nvidia GTS 8800, which is getting freeze lags (I can testify that on my own machine) or even overheating issues, which damages your video card. ???? Since the announcement of SC2 I've been waiting to hear anything regarding the ability to create custom maps in the game. While I still have not been able to find much information relating to this feature, I am very intrigued by the single-player abilities Browder mentioned. Hopefully the map developer community that is likely to coalesce in SC2 will be able to tool with and tweak these abilities to further push the boundaries of map development.

Think of it this way... 85% of people that play the game are casual and only play once or twice a week if that. The people that make the game popular are the ones that dump loads of time into it. (Think Modern Warfare 2 casuals are still playing the game as often anymore?). People getting into SC2 and even SC1 multiplayer need to realize it doesnt work online in matches like you'd think. You have to use special build orders (Example - Terran blocks in there ramp with buildings). In reality who would do that?
Cheese is a fact of life. You have to adapt your build in order to defend or counter offend it. VR rush, zergling rush or anything else all have hard counters. Starcraft 2 is probably going to be the only RTS game that will actually go pro again. I think the game will be great and have a larger appearl for the casual player too. interface is great, battlenet matchup is amazing. People that want to get into a game and complain because they get cheesed all the time, rushed, hard countered or declare the game retarded are probably not playing it right. Think of Warcraft 3 with each unit having many abilities. They are there for a reason. Use them.

Just my thoughts and only my opinion. There are great ways to get up to speed with the game. Check out Youtube - HDStarcraft and Husky Starcraft's channels. 100s of videos a piece. Since they started streaming almost all SC2 round in March they have gone from 12,000 subscribers a piece to over 80,000 now. I think this is going to go Esport pretty quickly.

Sad to see how an inferior game like Starcraft 2 is getting so much hype.

Starcraft 2 is a primitive game in every way compared to Dawn of War 2 and Supreme Commander 2.

I don't get it why would anyone play it instead of those two...

One explanation of why the koreans are better with the zerg is that Americans are more prone do defend and then attack. Koreans are attack attack and attack

I like watching people that arn't in the beta try to explain how its not completely balanced. It is very close. A recent patch made the supply from Roach go from 1 to 2. That made a huge change in the game. Koreans are good because of there use of everything in the game and how fast they are with APM. Americans usually forget or are lazy. There are no "Insta Win" BO's either. There are counters to everything. (THE VR rush BO is super easy to beat.

I haven't played yet, waiting on a new PC. I've noticed though through observing friends playing as all the races that the problem all my Zerg friends are having is based on them sending too few units in a rush, and also not teching out before attack. One friend who is almost unstoppable as Zerg in the original is completely defenseless in StarCraft 2 because he doesn't do any tech research and always sends out small amounts of units. So possibly the problem isn't so much a balance as that Korean players are willing to adapt where as Western players are wondering why their old tactics aren't working anymore? My friend literally said "none of my tactics work, they need to re-balance it", I replied with "maybe you need to re-balance your playing and tech more". He's begun to tech and is starting to get more success with Zerg. Just some food for thought for you Zerg players

I dig that he mentions the two alien races but no one is rushing to be terran. Its just like sc1 where terran get the short end of the stick as far playing in the lower ranks goes. Whoever said playing toss in this game is hard is full of baloney. I've seen my friend do the same bo vs every non zerg and it works every time. Void ray rush into mass ground forces = insta win.
