Not sure about many schools, but I am currently taking online classes, with Full Sail University, for a degree in Game Art. They have other online course for computer degrees to. They are based in Florida, but the online classes work great. Their tutition costs cover software, a new laptop (Mac notebook), and books needed for the class.
Good luck in finding a college you like!
