I agree about the coffee thermoses, they seemed out of place in a game like this. I also think that the hidden weapon caches were silly as well. I enjoyed finding everything else like the manuscript pages, TVs, radios, and signs to read. All that stuff added to the atmosphere. This was a great game and i look forward to downloading the new episodes.

Abbie makes good eye candy. I love her type.

Are the COFFEE THERMOSES a reference to Twin Peaks?

I like what they said about the hugeness of the levels :)
I miss the days of when original Unreal came out... those levels were big and that game was long as hell. I'll have to check this game out before too long.

I started playing through Alan Wake. It's NOT perfect, BUT IT IS AMAZING! Fantastic atmosphere, great voice acting, and pitch perfect gaming elements. this is a game done oh so right. Also started playing Red Dead as well, and I gotta say it is great, but I wanted back to Alan Wake. Just so gripping.

@ABACAB72 - why do you compare this to Heavy Rain? Or even better why does any PS3 fanboy do that, it's entirely unrelated it's a different a game! Maybe if you actually PLAYED the game instead of just dogging on it you would understand.

I will definitly pick this one up! survival/horror is my favorite game type, well that and First person shooters (HALO ONLY)..anyway..I gotta buy Red Dead Redemption first..then Alan Wake!!
@ reiverbell21..RE4 is not a horror game..it lost it's horror appeal since
RE3..Now it's a action/adventure..In my opinion!

This game is a waste of money. Abbie was being generous giving it a 4/5. It deserves a 2/5. The graphics are horrible, looks worse than a PS1 game. So much screen tearing that it takes you out of the game. The sound is a bit distorted during the loud bits and the voice acting is as horrible as JRPG english translations. The gameplay is juvenile at best and very repetitive, and the story is very contrived and phony. Boring game.
It's nowhere near as good as Heavy Rain was...as a matter of fact it's worse.

wow...abbie looks so nice with her hair down...

Sterling, move your mic down a little bit, it's not picking up your voice well.

why do you guys have to avoid spoilers? i like spoilers personally, wanting to say you don't want any spoilers is comparable to saying "i don't want any knowledge" at the very least, can you guys at g4 start posting things like "talkabout: SPOILERS edition"?
ScienceOfSleep
might rent it.
theantigzus
why does the timer for the video say 23 min???? and its only 8 : (
ReiverBell21

JustTheBeginning
Nice long talkabout, only thing is I think the volume might be low. I had to turn mine all the way up to get it barley normal volume.
Pwnproof
Epic huh..

I'm not normally one who likes or enjoys the survival/horror genre, but I have to say, Alan Wake looks good:D
