I've played this game, gave it a couple days of play before I returned it to blockbuster. It has an interesting world and game play style. But i found that the player swings his sword too slow to make any real combo attacks. Often you get hit in the middle of a move because of it. The story is morbid and filled with Japanese melodrama. I even cringed when a character of a young boy looses an arm with a sickening slurping popping sound. Also I read that you have to play through the game 4 times to get the whole story. I could deal with the rest if they presented the story in 1 play through but 4? No thanks, I have a bit of a life left that I still wanna live, lol

This game looks ok...As long as the story is really as strong as everyone is saying. Square and Enix use to have a lot of great titles but now all you see is final fantasy, so its good they're trying something new. Not sure if this is worth $60. It looks like the kind of game you put about 20 to 30 hours into then never play again. I agree in 5mins of fighting one type of monster you shouldn't be at lvl 30 but i am guessing this is some story thing because the character doesn't look like he has a coat on and fights with a bar in most of the screen shots i have seen.

Speaking as someone who is currently 15 hours into the game, I agree with the 4 rating. If you can get past the poor graphics and occasional bad voice acting, I think you'll find this to be a pretty solid title. The gameplay is enjoyable and there are many different environments that change the perspective, such as running around in a Diablo-style dungeon format. This game throws a lot of differnt stuff at the player and the boss fights really are awesome, the review was spot on about that. Anyways, this is just an opinion of someone who's actually been playing the game, I won't say that it's for everyone. Rent it first maybe and see what you think.

A game should be judged by how fun it is and the overall experience. That's why Darksiders got a 2, though I really can't condone them giving Dante's Interno a 3. That is utter bullcrap. Honestly, after seeing a bunch of the reviews they post here, you just learn to ignore their opinion. First 15 vids are nice though.

Yeah I really don't see how this game got a 4/5. I was a little excited to pick this game up, but now after watching that, I'll pass!! There is no way someone over at G4 can explain to me how this was a 4, but Darksiders and Dante's Inferno was a 2/5 and a 3/5?!?!? Other than the fact that you guys love Square Enix, and hate THQ!!

such as shame. great idea for a game, graphics, and gameplay. they should have waited atleast 2 years to tweak everything.
