i actually went out an got a black wii. i had played on a white one and thought they were really cool. the motion ability felt a little out dated and needed more time to be worked on to get that perfect feel. i started playing the black one and felt that everything was polished. i was amazed knowing that motion+ actually felt suave. also it has a cool black gleam to it.

Mr. Sessler! I want a black Wii!!! I wrote out a lengthy explanation as to why but the site says I am using profanities... I have searched through what I wrote for the last 10 minutes and can't figure out what it means...

I've often wondered when I myself will ever stop playing video games and I've come to the conclusion that, just like anything else when give up in this world, it's going to be when games stop being fun.

Most of us tend to make time for the things we enjoy. Even when life-changing events occur, most people will find a way to adapt to the situation at hand and find a way back to normalcy. It may not mean that you'll necessarily go back to playing five to six hours a day, but you'll manage to squeeze enough time to leave you satisfied until you're once again placed in front of a screen.

But there comes a time in our lives when we do, for the lack of a better term, grow out of certain things. It's hard for anyone to do one single time thing for a very long time, much less a lifetime. There will come a point when you don't get the satisfaction out of something the way you once used to.

Even with the constant evolution of the video game industry and the variety of genres to choose from, I do see myself, and many other gamers like myself, taking a step back from the gaming, without any type of life changing event happening.

With that being said, I am currently too young to look that far ahead in life, I most definitely look forward to the future of gaming and the multiple platforms in which it is delivered. But until the day comes when the industry no longer catches my attention, I will continue playing video games until my knuckles bleed.

    Great Feedback!

I personally think Call of Duty: Black Ops will be THE game to show how talented Treyarch is. In my opinion, World at War, which was by no means perfect, showed the potential Treyarch has. I think they can make the next big Call of Duty game as like IW has done with the Modern Warfare series. They just need to have a beta for Black Ops and a do a better job of balancing the multiplayer. (Looks at the MP40 in WaW......)

WOW! I did not know that the black ops trailer was suggesting vietnam! Now I'm excited too! I think... still not exactly sure what it is.
Also I did NOT see WaW as respectful to the subject matter as they suggest. The AI was poor and it was overly graphic which suggested something more fantastical. I remember one pacific level I was pinned down for a while and I just watched my allies go sprinting into an area where they were about 10 -15 meters from a machine gun. ALL of them literally got their heads blown off. Seriously unnecessary and not fitting. Also zombies kind of make my point for me.
Also I wish Adam would have been more specific about why he would stop gaming. It seemed like he wasn't trying to offend, so much so that I don't know what he means, being someone that is not involved with the game industry.

    more activision news = yawn.

it looks like fallout 3, it plays like fallout 3, because it IS fallout 3! yet another copy pasted game for us to enjoy!

    rage could be good though.

    lol @ feedback cameo!

reach beta: halo 3 with jetpacks! what staggering innovation. actually i'll probably pick it up when it comes out.

i don't think the question of week was very fair, you guys basically play video games for a living! it is more for people like me who have jobs that are unrelated to video gaming.

first off i hate all of you who can play Reach because my 360 is packed up for the movie and i can't. second abbie if you had kids you teach them how to play video games and not do the annoying things like camping. start a revolution to end all campers.
also as a new fan to fallout i'm i going to have to get Vegas when it comes out or can i put that off for a few months.

This feedback got me thinking about when i'll will stop playing video games. At the moment I don't see myself quitting in the near future unless something major happens in my life or the world weather it be financially(no means of supporting the habit), physically (a disability or illness), or emotionally (a tragedy or a state of mind). If nothing major occurs i'll probably game until i get arthritis but maybe by that time technology will be advance enough i can control things with my mind.

I'd love to play Alan Wake guys, but it doesn't come out until May 18th, the same day as Red Dead Redemption, Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands, and Trauma Team!

Why?!?! Why must game companies attempt to bankrupt me?!?!

WE ARE THE SOVIET BUNGIE !!!
Sorry but it was just too good of a misplaced reference to not use. Anyway I hope the Activision/Bungie deal works out well for all involved because honestly we, the gamers, are ultimately the ones to gain from it. A massive universe with multiple points of access? Awesome. Think of what Mass Effect 2 could have been if all that mining could have been done on a iPhone/iPad.

Rage is now officially on my radar. I've always liked id games but wasn't terribly optimistic about this new one until now. If the enemy AI and animations work as well as has been suggested then this might be the next revolution id makes to gaming.

Halo: Reach is the first game to make me strongly consider getting a 360. I'm not so much a PS3 fanboy as someone who just couldn't get over the RROD, a separate WiFi attachment, and paid online content but this game from what I've seen just seems too good to pass up. I hope so much that at E3 Microsoft debuts a 360 "slim" with built in WiFi & Natal

As for my question I think it wasn't written as well as it could have been. My main point was what Andrew touched on when he mentioned changing tastes and I alluded to that by bringing my personal trepidation of the forthcoming 3D tech & Motion Controls. It was an interesting spin on it though to consider how fundamentally tied all of your careers are to gaming that the prospect of ever stopping just would never come up but that was what I wanted to point out. As my own future looms before me I think it's healthy to consider that maybe the things we enjoy so much might be replaced and what we give them up for could say a lot about who we are.

And a sudden noise followed by Hurley showing up? I sense J.J. has gotten to the Feed...

I know this doesn't have anything to do with Feedback, but i've heard you guys mentioning Ayn Rand on here before. I'm interested in reading some of her works, is there any particular one that i should read first or should i just dive in?
