I hate to say it, but I'm thinking Kevin wouldn't object if the new Zune was lifted and displayed online... ("Microsoft and its damn monopolization, they deserve it")

Everyone keeps talking about "illegal" and "stolen" and "crime". Has anyone been charged with anything? As far as I know the answer is no. So there was no crime and apple got to act like douchebags. Just like the police who search your car at 4am because you look horrible at 4am like any normal person. No crime was committed as of yet but they still get to ram your sh?% in.

**I could be wrong about the charged thing because the news likes to cover random things instead of following through with stories but if im wrong then please correct me.

Gizmodo paid 5k to someone (Not Apple) to become beta testers for apples prototype, Id be pissed if I were apple too.
As a prototype the phone is not legalized by the FCC, the guys at Gizmodo had to have known, this wouldn't end well for them, thus I don't feel an ounce of pity for their situation.

Jon Stewart is a COMEDIAN. It's his job to tell jokes & make people laugh. He aims at laughs more than accuracy. You're not suppose to take him seriously. Suppose you were out in the streets, duking it out with a clown. How do you think you'd look to all those passing by?

Anyone has the right to bring charges against someone who has committed an illegal action against them.

Doesn't matter if it's a corporation or an individual.

    Apple did the right thing.

You guys really need to read what you say, you have too much green smoke in your heads.

Kevin needs to get his head out of Jobs' arrogant ass. What made Apple great in the beginning was Steve Wozniak, Apple wants to curve the advances in technology to what they think it should be. Technology should evole without constraints and much less with steve jobs narrow vision of what should be. He blames adobe for flash being ineficient, but its Apple's OS that needs the work. why else does every other phone support flash but the iPhone. How many Stupid Blue lego blocks do you have to see before you realize that Steve Jobs needs to Step down.

    part 2

Anyone in Gizmodo's shoes would have done the exact same thing having the world exclusive for only $5K and apple did deny at first so it was fair game. But Jon Stewart is right to say that apple did act like bullies having people break down his door and take his stuff was a bit extreme especially for letting it get this far. I am sure apple must have good security at their plant especially for a secret overhaul to the #1 selling phone in the world.

I love AOTS and watch it all the time but as was stated before using something like Viacom not being on YouTube as an attack on John Stewart was stupid and unnecessary since John has no control over that just like Kevin has no control over what Comcast does.

    and one more thing,

I personally never liked apple products and think steve jobs is a pompous arrogant ass with a massive ego and this was proof.

I AM A PC and BILL GATES IS MY HERO :-D

This whole iphone 4G story is fishy?

The phone was lost at a bar and then someone just happens to pick it up and sell it for only $5K, REALLY?

Does anyone here really think apple security would allow an employee to leave with the super secret prototype and then having an employee with no brain knowing they would get in trouble for leaking something this big and show it off at a bar? How stupid can you be?

If it was an employee they must have signed an NDA and knew they would get caught, fired and arrested for breach of contract. If it was stolen and the thief left a multi-million dollar prototype at a bar talk about the world's worst and stupidest criminal.

But if Mr. Chen was smart, he would have took as many macro images of the internal components and any software he might have hack and sent it ALL OVER the web before he could get "pinched"!

Signed - EX Federal Employee (US DHS), and even I have NO faith in the "system"!

First, I have a lot of experience around people "claiming" something was stolen from them when there are always 3 sides to every story. Personally I think homeboy had a few too many and either left the cell or was showing it off, yeah Apple employee's / engineers may be "secretive", but their ego gets the better of em when they drink and boy do some of em drink!
So to save his own A** he kisses Steve Jobs A** and says it was "stolen"! So Apple abuses the system to do the actual stealing from Mr. Chen! I am glad I wen PC 4 year ago, Apple plays dirty and flat out lies!

Luckily everyone who's siding with AOTS actually watched the Daily Show clip. You know, where he mentions Gizmodo checked with Apple first, saying "we have a prototype...you want it back before we take it apart?" Apple denied its existence, and only complained AFTER Gizmodo posted its videos.

To summarize: Kevin has Apple's naughty bits in his mouth, and several of you have his in yours.

I dunno, I think this was more of an experimental attempt to be satirical, while parodying Jon's segment's structure.

Kevin failed on the honesty/satire balancing board; his satire was sometimes obviously satirical and sometimes not, and what he felt was important was sometimes obvious and sometimes not. That's a REALLY hard thing to do in such a limited time frame.

Kevin was observably stressed and excited, he looked like he was testing his boundaries. I don't think he got the effect he was shooting for, but I applaud his effort, and hope G4 lets all their key faces control the content more.

What a bunch of whiny bitches here!
Kevin - You got it dead on!
All of the kiddies here playing on mommies puter can't be bothered to actually hear the facts of the case even though Kevin actually said some of the points.

The Gizmodo freaks KNEW they were buying illegal goods.
End of story for at least the legal case. They will be damn lucky if Apple just drops the charges in the end.

BIG CORP? Really? Are you douchebags actually still crying about BIG CORP whatever as if that really means anything or is even a bad thing? You all sound like teenagers "railing at the machine" then go plonk your ass down in front of yer "BIG CORP" Xbox or "insert popular mass marketed item here"

    Get over yourselves.

Kevin you hit the nail on the head and the whiny bitches posting here can't accept it.
