Cathartic Denoument

If Bungie has everything planned, then this certainly solidifies my theory that they're gunning for Blizzard.
The term "universe" was used so many times, only to be followed up by the term "MMO".
I mean..come oonnn.
Please tell me I'm not the only one sensing this.

YES!!!!! Rofl, Halo was seriously sucky in the 1st place! Take that you 360 lovers! Now all ps3 needs is a partnership with Epic, and it will be G-A-M-E O-V-E-R for Xbox MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

Patrick Klepak may be G4's most valuable journalist right now. Sure, Kevin's got the looks and Alison's got the camera schmooze (wait, did I get that backwards?) but there's nowhere else on the entire web that I can think of where I can get such a deep and yet relate-able, inner-workings-of-the-gaming-i ndustry scoop as I can from Patrick's pieces like this one and his stuff on Feedback. Great job Patrick and Adam. And go Bungie!

has anyone given thought to the possibility that IW got wind of Activision's deal with Bungie?

I know it sounds strange, but when gamers are split between Modern Warfare and Halo (among others) as two of the major FWS Multiplayer experiences, would IW not like the idea of sharing the publishing spot light with Bungie?

Again, I know its crazy to think of this as even plausible, but it is a thought to play around with a little.

too bad for bungie their gonna get screwed over like infinity ward and soon to be treyarch and for 10 years dang........... there gonna be forced to make halo rehashes just like infinity ward to make more call of duty games. i dont even know wat treyarch games r out there but i hope they got a good contract to let them make different games. one can only prey for better online multiplayer because lets face it right now activision only goal right now is to make 60 to 70 bucks a game on us consumers and they know the best way to do that is slap a face paint of halo or call of duty on a case and say game of the year edition

When I first heard about Bungie and Activision joining forces I pictured a Future Warfare type deal involving wars like those from Modern Warfare on foreign planets of newly found universes, along with a story line based on the fact that Earth refuses to bow down to these other worldly armies and let them take over Earth. Hmmm....this could work...I have plenty of ideas for a game like that...Give me a call BungieVision!! We could call it Call of Duty: Earths Last Stand.

This was a huge shock to find out bungie signed with activision, but as long as they don't whore the hell out of the bungie name and make crappy games. I'm game and can't wait to see what their next big project is.

Yeah the only reason Halo is 'generic' is because it was so good when they first made it that all other shooters after it started to emilate halo...

Well knowing that Activision will not fully own Bungie and Bungies IP is more settling but all in all it may be nice to see a Bungie game on the PS3 and may even warrant me finally making the switch from 360 after the release of the last halo

Activision doesn't care about not owning the IP cause the contract is for 10 years. Whatever the new franchise is, it will probably lose its sales potential after that time.
