And yes, that was seriously epic. Maybe the Halo movie will finally break the barrier and let actually good live action movies based on video games exist.

Perhaps it's just my own bias against the Halo universe as a whole. I'll never try to dismiss the series technological achievements, but how they shape their stories, characters and the rules of their universe it just comes off in a bad way to me. To put the Halo universe in contrast to another franchise, the Modern Warfare universe. Now both take the liberty of tossing away reality and step into the realm of bombastic fun, but with Modern Warfare I buy into it more. It goes to the small interactions between the characters and that Modern Warfare mirrors similar stories, people and conversations I've heard from friends and other such acquaintances. It's a small and relatively petty rant, but I just buy into that setting more so then Halo. Perhaps Reach can break the standing.

Jeez...I know they had to pick a teen to appeal to the gamers...but if the friggin Spartans were all that scrawny, there's no wonder they all were crucified on Reach.

I am not a fan of halo, due to the fact that I'm not good at it.. that being said this short is downright awesome.
Didn't really care if the halo movie never got made.. but after seeing stuff like this it's hard to argue against it.

Typically the Spartans were unconscious, but having all those doctors around would've ruined the poetics of the video.

Two things I have to say about the video:
1) Space Asian. Yay, diversity!!
2) Don't they have a doctor for this?!?! At least knock me out for the procedure.
After seeing this, I still think there is still potential for a good video game-based movie. Just make sure it's not directed by Uwe Boll.
