Great episode I agree with you on the Sega portion and man Deadly Premonition is such a great game.
SEGA was once a great company with hardware and software. Systems etc. But now, They haven't produced anything real good except the genesis collection. But still had some titles that could have been left out.
Here is the deal. The way the ESRB is run right now is very similar to the way the MPAA is. These "parents" who give the games ratings are not actually publicly known. There is a pretty good documentary on how the MPAA works, "This Film is Not Yet Rated". It is instant streaming on Netflix and it does have mature content, but because it is instant streaming and only an hour or so long, there is no reason you should skip it. Right now the way the movie and games industries are set up is that they take a product, secretly review it, and then post a rating of the game. If the game is AO or the movie is NC-17 it will be dropped from the people who promote the sale of the film or game if it is not "fixed". This is censorship on a private level. Retailers will not sell an AO game, period. Recognition of the industry as a method of speech is amazing, but there are still very destructive elements in the industry alone that cause censorship.
I know everybody is all hype about this subject, but don't compare it to law suits like Brown vs the board or Maubury vs Madison. I mean video games are god but they don't come close to the fights over segregation or cornerstone judiciary law work. Now the OJ case i can understand but not the other ones.
Adam, your comment about LaVal's had me rolling on the floor. I've not thought about LaVal's in fifteen years but I do have fond memories of the pizza, the arcade games, the world cup and some sort of Shakespeare production.
God I love Feedback. <3
Not sure if anyone has complained in regards to this but I'm having a horrible time hearing Frank when he speaks. In order to hear him I have to blast my speakers and then I get blasted by everyone else. Turn that dudes mic up man.
ok Deadly premonition...freaking wierd. i picked this up yesterday at the behest of abbie heffman and everyone else, this games gonna give me nightmares i swear. its like living inside the movie the grudge. the gameplay and voice acting is the worst i have ever seen in a video game ever. but i cant stop playing it. pick it up if you enjoy wierd stuff like freaky anime or off the wall indie films, like mullholland drive.if stuff like that doesnt appeal to you dont get it. laters
Wow I want to play Deadly Premonition now...
Wow, that last 30 seconds was (bleeeeeeeeeep).
Wow i picked up a used Deadly Premonition at gamestop for $14 with my edge card..... This Game is actually worth $60. You will never find a more bizarre game in your life! it is literally so bad that its Great! i am shocked that this game was overlooked by so many people (including me)!
Where is Adam playing Just Dance? Wasn't he supposed to do that on this episode?
talkabout hevierain and deadly premonition endings :p
You know, I totally agree with Mr Keil on the representation of the old X-Wing vs TIE Fighter games, but I just finished Metro 2033 and I think that it's quite possibly one of the best games I've ever played. It's relatively standard as far as game play is concerned, but the story was really good. I'd like to see a lot more games come out that are not just based on good books, but where the game stays true to the story as it was originally written. The game was so good, in fact, that I actually want to go out and buy the book.
Sorry I meant Treyarch not Activision
Omg, dude I'm so sick of this IW and Activision are acting like little kids come on your companies were made because you both loved fps's and IW developed the first COD and Activision published it good times but when IW came out with MW and Activision with WaW this feud began. Forgive and forget and let the gaming continue damn
it wouldn't make any sense to make IW to be the only developer of Call Of Duty because Treyarch made the first one..
i dont understand, who's suing who??
There NEEDS to be a like 8 hour feedback EVERYday!I NEEDS IT!WE ALL NEEDS IT!Much Love Cronos & Co(Cronos is my nickname for Adam ;)
I want to know what you think about this. Respawn will advertise their game (what ever it may be) with the slogen "from the guys who brought you MW2, the best selling game ever". So even the general public (that dosn't know about all the drama going on at IW) will know that that is going to be a good game to play. Point beeing, I see Respawn doing well with ad's alone on their next game. whats your thoughts?I also have to say this (kind of unrelated). I've been playing Call of Duty since the first one (after school LAN parties in the computer room :D good times) and the attitude towards Call of Duty has changed to danm much. Where did the attitude go that was at Team Fortress? Playing a game to have fun (i mean when you got a head shot the whole body blew up). Now its fun to take the game seriously (why play if your not going to try at it?), to a point, but there is a point were your not even playing the game, the gamer starts caring more about all the little things and not that the point is to just have fun. A good exaple is when some gose 40-10 (kdr) and is the highest points in the round, yet still complains about the "gayness" (i don't ussually say things like that) and that everyone else sucks.I think the point that I'm trying to make is this... if the newer games that came out like MW2 didn't have a mic set up in the game play i honestlly think that it would be a better attitude all around towards the game from the general public that dosn't play the game. I would really like to hear what you have to say about this one Adam because I know you've been around to see the changes all around and honestlly i respect your thoughts. ~Side Note, Feedback is the best show on the internet!
